the strangers 2

"Justified" is my favorite show in the world that I've only seen 3 episodes of. I don't remember if Joelle Carter was in the episodes I've seen but she looks kind of familiar so let's all get excited that she's been added to the cast of the upcoming Lionsgate film "Jessabelle". Carter will play the mother of a girl who's forced to return to her father's home after she loses the use of her legs. I hope she knows the "I Have No Legs" song.

Marc D. Evans has gone on record that the plan is for "The Strangers 2" to begin production this fall and that a director will be chosen shortly. I don't believe him. Let's move on.

Have a loved one with an upcoming birthday you want to ruin? Well good news! "A Serbian Film" will finally see a limited unedited US release on May 22nd. The news comes after months of legal issues and forced edits to get the film ready for US shelves. Why this giant mess is being allowed I have no idea but I assume the discussion went something like, "fine if you pricks want to cry yourselves to sleep for a week then be my guest!"

Edward Norton, Gael Garcia Bernal and Rebecca Hall, and Sean Penn are all apparently in talks to take on roles in the upcoming "Robocop" remake. I mean they're all looking to play different roles. Although that would be kind of awesome if they all played Robocop. Like some sort of giant weird Hollywood Voltron. I'd like Ed Norton to be the head, please. I just like the cut of that guy's jib.

If Daniel Craig punched you in the face not only would your head explode but your future child's would too. That's a well known fact. It's on the internet! So look at his commanding pose in the new "Cowboys & Aliens" poster and give him the respect he demands. Give it to him! Or your entire bloodline will immediately become a bunch of headless freaks. You've been warned.

Put it in the books folks, it's officially boner time! Yeah I said it. Why you might ask? Well because season 2 of "The Walking Dead" has officially begun filming and the jolly young fellows at AMC have posted a new behind the scenes video from the first day of filming. From the looks of things we get started on the road to magic town this season and things get hectic real quick. Boner time, it's the most special time of the year.

In a recent interview Liv Tyler drop the knowledge that she has no idea what the hell is going on with "The Strangers 2" which has apparently had a script sitting around for a while now. Along with not having a clue on the status she also hinted to the fact that she most likely won't have anything to do with the film if it does happen. She also said that she loves unicorns and thinks Hollywood is confusing and stuff. I'm sorry, that first part about unicorns was a lie. She seems like a perfectly nice girl and I shouldn't take out my anger on her. Girls didn't like me in High School... there I've finally said it.

Oh come on! They're already planning a season 5 of "True Blood"?! Haven't we suffered enough? According to the jagoffs in Hollywood it looks like Scott Foley has been added to the cast as a character that if you knew the name of would spoil something that happens in season 3 which starts this Sunday. Confused? Good. You look adorable when you get all cross eyed and drooley.

Oh boy oh boy! Amar'e Stoudemire of the New York Knicks if currently in discussions to sign on as an executive producer for the "The Strangers 2". I know, a Basketball player and a horror movie. Sounds like a perfect fit! Maybe some of his teammates can take on the acting roles. It'll be like those episodes of "Saturday Night Live" where an athlete hosts and no one watches.

Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games, recently sat down to discuss the much talked about "Bioshock" movie that everyone has pretty much given up on. According to Kenny though there's still a possibility and he'd be happy to see a movie be made. Of course based on the interview it sounds like there is no progress whatsoever but who knows. He then went on to use the word "pieces" so many times that I assume he was sitting in a room with a group of people who had agreed to do a shot every time he said it.

If I heard one consistent comment about Trent Haaga's "Deadgirl" it's that all the necrophilia is great but why isn't the picture quality better?! Well good news, you sick pervert who should be locked up, the 2008 sleepy hit is findings it's way to Blu-Ray on August 30th. For those of you not familiar with the movie it's about a couple of kids who find a living dead girl strapped to a table in an abandoned hospital and eventually end up having sex with her. I immediately regret telling you all that.

It's a slow day and everyone here at the BGH office has already taken off for the weekend so here's another new poster for "Super 8" which leads me to believe they're not even bothering to not make this movie look like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" anymore. Of course Steve Spielberg is the producer of the J.J. Abrams joint so maybe the two were at a bar one night and Abrams was complaining about Third Kind and Spielberg got sick of it and just said "well you try to make it better, prick!". What the hell do I know though.

Cool new motion poster for "Saw VI". This seems to be the new studio trend and I like it, except of course for the incredibly obnoxious music that you can't control. Might want to do something about that, guys.

The Syfy channel's remake of "Children of the Corn" will debut in September... just in time for harvest!

No one's sure exactly how it is going to happen, but news was reported yesterday that the original "Saw" is going to be converted into the new "Real-D" 3D technology. Would you pay to see the film again in a theater, with the new spin?

I can't possibly imagine that this is the first still from "Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever", a film that seems like it's been in development for about 6 years now, but that's what the internet tells me. It was directed by a talented guy named Ti West, which is good, but all of the delays and the behind the scenes rumors do not give me hope.

"The Strangers 2" begins filming in September. Any ideas for a subtitle? How about "The Strangers 2: Even Strangier".

The first image of Alice in Tim Burton's "Alice" [in Wonderland]. You have to scroll down the forums there to see it, as well as the rest of the article it came from which contains some concept art from the "dinner scene".

"Last House on the Left" director Dennis Iliadis has his next film lined up, called "Cure". It's written by the guy who wrote "Max Payne" (yikes), and is about "a young man who sends his wife for an experimental treatment to save her from a terminal illness. Although she returns completely cured, she is suddenly infected with something more terrifying." After "Last House", I'm very excited to see what Iliadis can do with some original material, so count me in.

French director Laurent Briet is close to landing the gig directing "The Strangers 2", which will take place in a trailer park. The sequel is to be based on a script by Brian Bertino, writer/director of the original.

Margot Kidder has joined the cast of "H2" or "Halloween 2"... or, what was for a few minutes last night on Zombie's blog called "Halloween: The Devil Walks Among Us". That info was taken down pretty quickly, but it should mean we'll be getting an official title pretty soon. As for Kidder? Ah whatever. It just puts him one step closer to fitting every out of work actor from the 70's and 80's into this film. Shouldn't be distracting AT ALL.
