Dennis Iliadis

"Plus One" is the latest film from "The Last House On the Left" director Dennis Iliadis and it looks like the folks over at IFC have slapped it with a September 20th release date. The film is about three college students who go to a big old party and find all kinds of spooky crap going down there. And I'm not just talkin about the drunkin goth chicks from Alpha Omega Pi! Am I right fellas? High five! Oh god I wish I hadn't gone to an art school.

Joseph Kosinski, the handsome gentlemen who directed "Oblivion" is apparently the latest name to be tossed out for the upcoming "The Twilight Zone" directing spot. No word on when filming would start, who the writer will be or if Kosinski will back out like a gaggle of others already have so I for one am stilling holding out that I will be offered the job. I did take a intro to film course in college and if I remember right I got a B+. Call me.

More and more cool ass crap keeps coming out about Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights and now there's word of a haunted attraction based on the classic flick "An American Werewolf in London". This would be exciting news even if it wasn't a spooky time attraction. You know how I love fish and chips don't you. You don't? Well I do and I'm a little upset that I've been writing the news for over three years now and you don't really seem to know a thing about me. My eyes are up here buddy!

"Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D" is still apparently a thing and it looks like R. Madhavan has officially been added to the cast. The film is a retelling of the classic zombie flick with a new setting, the city so nice they named it twice, New York, New York. You might know R. Madhavan from his numerous Bollywood films or if you're like me and completely ignorant you might know him from absolutely nothing at all.

Dennis Iliadis, the guy who fixed "The Last house on the Left", is in talks to direct "The Demonologists". The film will focus on a group of ghost hunters who find themselves in deep caca when they stumble upon a demon infestation. I hope they have ghost hunter uniforms, those are adorable.

The wait is almost over kids, "The Walking Dead" hits AMC on Sunday and to get you all pumped up here's 5 minutes from the first episode. Are you mildly turned on? I am. Wow I've never noticed what amazing eyes you have. What are you doing later?

"Burke And Hare" is a comedy based on a true story about two men who fall into the dangerous world of providing cadavers for medical research. Which kind of sounds like "I Sell the Dead" but according to the new one sheet this one has Simon Pegg and looks like it might not suck. So there's some differences right there.

Ridley Scott was on the crapper recently and decided that he wants Noomi Rapace from "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" to star in the "Alien" prequel. So of course it's my job to tell you about it. Take a good hard look at me kids, I'm you in ten years! Good luck sleeping tonight.

"The Walking Dead" casting continues to pick up speed as Brandon Routh has been added to the cast list. So far, Routh will be starring alongside Andrew Lincoln and Jon Bernthal.

Emile Hirsch prepares to dip his toes into the genre pool as he signs on for "The Darkest Hour". The movie, an all new alien invasion thriller from Chris Gorak, begins filming in Russia this summer.

Dennis Iliadis, director of last year's "Last House on the Left" remake, has decided to undertake the daunting task of directing Keanu Reeves in "Jekyll", a modern retelling of the classic tale.

The crew takes a visit to The Last House on the Left, and decides whether or not we would stay there again. Plus, the return of Louis Fowler!

The first image of Alice in Tim Burton's "Alice" [in Wonderland]. You have to scroll down the forums there to see it, as well as the rest of the article it came from which contains some concept art from the "dinner scene".

"Last House on the Left" director Dennis Iliadis has his next film lined up, called "Cure". It's written by the guy who wrote "Max Payne" (yikes), and is about "a young man who sends his wife for an experimental treatment to save her from a terminal illness. Although she returns completely cured, she is suddenly infected with something more terrifying." After "Last House", I'm very excited to see what Iliadis can do with some original material, so count me in.

French director Laurent Briet is close to landing the gig directing "The Strangers 2", which will take place in a trailer park. The sequel is to be based on a script by Brian Bertino, writer/director of the original.

Margot Kidder has joined the cast of "H2" or "Halloween 2"... or, what was for a few minutes last night on Zombie's blog called "Halloween: The Devil Walks Among Us". That info was taken down pretty quickly, but it should mean we'll be getting an official title pretty soon. As for Kidder? Ah whatever. It just puts him one step closer to fitting every out of work actor from the 70's and 80's into this film. Shouldn't be distracting AT ALL.
