"Shaun Of The Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" power couple Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, or Simgar, are set to begin production on "The World's End" this September. The film is about a group of friends who reunite to attempt an epic pub crawl 20 years after their first go around. I'm not going to lie, I'm already imagining the heartfelt ending of the movie where they cry and hug over beers and I'm getting a little misty.

Stephen King's "The Reach" is next on the list to get the big screen adaptation treatment. While negotiations are still in their early stages King himself says the story, about a elderly woman who travels to a ghost island over a large frozen stretch of water, is the one he'd "most like to be remembered for after his death". So don't F this up Hollywood fat cats. Or else you'll have the ghost of Stephen King on your ass.

FX has plans to adapt the Chelsea Cain’s book "Heartsick" for the little screen sometime in the near future. The story, which is the first in a trilogy, tells the tale of a female serial killer and her relationship with a beat up Portland detective. Do they have serial killers in Portland? I thought it was all donuts and hippies. Wait, serial killer that prays on hippies? I like where this is going.

Production on "The Scribbler", staring Katie Cassidy and Eliza Dushku, has officially begun in sunny LA. The movie follows the fun story of a young woman using a new experimental tool that helps to eliminate multiple personalities. Do you think it works? What a terrible movie it would be if it does and everything works fine the first time. They hook the girl up to a car battery and 15 minutes later she's all better and drinking a coffee. Roll credits.

Every day I look on the tubes for news that's going to grab you by the lips and yank. Some days that task is pretty hard. Today is not one of those days. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you a very NSFW clip of from "Drive Angry" where Nic Cage is having sex with a women while having a gunfight. I don't want to say you should skip the rest of the news but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't going to go downhill after this.

Because "Piranha 3D" is hitting DVD and Blu-Ray and that gives us a reason to continue being pervs, the makers recently held an online "Hottest Babes in Horror" showdown on their site. The winner? One Miss Eliza Dushku. The losers? A porn stay way past her prime, a girl I think is someone but if I'm wrong I sound really racist and a bunch of other people I don't recognized. So yeah, congrats.

Michael Tully is a director and he's created a movie called "Septien" that has the greatest movie poster I've seen this year. No there isn't anyone nude on it, sometimes I can be classy to you know. The movie focuses on a gambler who returns home after being away for years to reconnect with his insane brothers. Side note, I have no idea how to pronounce the title of this film.

"Dibbuk Box", which sounds like a Japanese prono, has added Kyra Sedgwick to it's ever growing cast list. From Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, the movie follows the story of a young boy who becomes strangely attracted to a wooden box that contains a soul chomping demon. Sedgwick will play the unlucky tike's mother.

Eliza Dushku starring film "Open Graves" premieres on the Syfy channel on September 19th. I have no idea what it's about but every production still has her in a bikini. I'm onto your game, Syfy.

Rob Zombie has just locked his edit of "Halloween 2", and is sending it off for all the usual post processing jazz. Oh, and he posted a picture of Michael Myers giving us the finger... he's so wild and edgy, that guy.

I suppose this is accurate considering the source... but Variety reports that Sam Raimi will be directing "Warcraft", the big budget adaptation of the popular MMO World of Warcraft. Whoa.

The effects guys behind the "Nightmare on Elm St." remake describe Freddy's look as more of a recovered burn victim. They also talk in this report about Jackie Earle Haley having a smaller nose than Robert Englund, and how that played into the makeup. Pretty decent read if you're interested.

Two more stills from "Cabin Fever 2: Spring Break". Good news, the party man is back!
