Shia LaBeouf

Horror Headlines: Wednesday May 15th, 2013

Does a "From Dusk Till Dawn" TV series that Robert Rodriguez will be heavily involved in sound awesome to you? I know me too! What if I told you it was going to be on Univision and I was 99% sure it'll be in Spanish? I know I don't know Spanish either but I watch the channel all the time to! I love their stripper/news anchors and the project is just getting off the ground so I think we have enough time to learn the language so we're all going to be good here.

Magnolia Pictures has done gone and picked up the rights to the Israeli film "Big Bad Wolves". The film is written and directed by Aharon Keshales tracks the lives of three men caught up in a series of brutal murders. Keshales also helmed 2010's underground hit "Rabies", which apparently had a lot of really attractive woman in it but also had subtitles so I'm still not sure what to do there.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo , the guy who directed "28 Weeks Later", has been confirmed to direct "Villain", a new film about two brothers who find themselves lost in the woods. Shia LaBeouf is also set to star in the film and he knows robots so I think we got a winner on our hands here.

Olivia Wilde and Mark Duplass are set to start in a new horror flick from Lionsgate titled "Reawakening". The film focuses on a doctor who discovers how to bring people back to life and the events that follow after he uses it on his daughter. I'm sure there's awful results but if something like this ever comes to be I think we all know that Michael Douglas will be the first one on our lists to bring back to life. Miss you man.

Where do people accidentally shot their friends in the leg while waiting in line at Starbucks? You bet your sweet ass it's Florida.

Here's a woman who stabbed her boyfriend after he farted in her face during an argument. Yes also in Florida.

Alan Tudyk has signed on to play Stephen A. Douglas in the big screen adaptation of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter". It's funny because Alan is best know as playing Steve the Pirate in "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story". If at any point you thought, "Oh does he mean that guy from 'Firefly'?" then I'm going to ask you to leave right now.

Chris Pine, Alex Pettyfer and Shia LaBeouf are all expressing inner desires to play the lead role in the silver screen version of "Preacher". Pettyfer is the only one keeping me from being completely enraged about this and that's only because I have no freakin clue who he is. What's that? The kid from "Beastly" you say? Super! Maybe we can get Kevin Smith to direct and we can just call it a day.

If you don't know who Ray Harryhausen is then you don't know the joys of weird ass stop motion animation of years gone by. You should, that's the point I'm making. Well if not there's a new documentary about the man behind the effect of such classics as "Clash of the Titans" (the good one) and "Jason and the Argonauts" titled "Ray Harryhausen: Special Effects Titan". Bubo, look it up.

In the wake of the recent tragedies in Japan Legendary Pictures has asked Guillermo del Toro to revise the screenplay for his upcoming disaster film "Pacific Rim". The movie focuses around the a group of monsters that attack the earth and threaten to end us all. Click here for ways that you can help in the relief effort.

In Real People News:

For the love of god you can't do anything without some jackass videotaping you, putting it on the internet and getting you arrested. You're driving a school bus like this women in Connecticut and you do a little texting, say 1,068 texts, and all of the sudden you're on video and going to jail. Alright in this case the video was being captured because you were already being investigated for abusing the special needs children you're suppose to be driving. Oh yeah it was special needs kids that you were putting in danger. Still! Technology kind of sucks.

And if you haven't already seen this video of a snake biting a woman's giant fake boob then you're in for a treat... and possibly some vomiting. Apparently the snake died of silicone poisoning after the attack which I will go on record as saying is good. because snakes are awful creatures that serve no purpose in the world but to be terrible. Happy Friday, kids.

The ghost-tastic flick "The Apparition" has had its release date pushed from 2011 to an unnamed date in 2012. No reason has been released for the push but seeing how it's directed by Todd Lincoln who's previous credits include visual effects on "From Dusk Till Dawn" and stars a bunch of teenage extras from other movies I'm guessing they want to put it up against "Avatar 2" just to F with the man.

People seem to be getting sick of 3D movies and paranormal flicks but how could you fail with a paranormal 3D joint? The answer is you can't. "Paranormal Xperience 3D" revolves around a group of teens (awesome!) trapped in a town being terrorized by an evil doctor. If the twist at the end of this is that the doctor is a ghost then putting the word "paranormal" in the title might of been a bad idea.

Little known fact, they have TV's in New Zealand. I know I was shocked too! Not only that they apparently have their own shows. Like "The Tribe" which is about group of people who have lived through a virus that's killed off most of Earth's population and how they deal with robots and giant locusts. Sounds pretty good already but it's being adapted for the big screen here in the US so we're going to make it even better. You're welcome Kiwi's!

My wife and I have agreed that no matter what sex our seventh child is we will name him or her Shia LaBeouf. That's just how big of fans we are. So we're both pumped to find out that he will star in a new big screen adaptation of Joe Hill's, son of Stephan King, novel "Horns". The basic plot is LaBeouf wakes up after a night of boozing to find he's sprouted horns. I don't get the title.

Some people who come into a large sum of money go nuts and just spend it all. But this guy in Ohio wasn't going to let his big bank robbery score go to his head. No he hopped on the bus and headed home, not even springing for a cab. Of course he was immediately caught but still, his heart was in the right place.

Residents of Bennington Vermont are living in fear after a number of residents have been attacked but one lone gray squirrel. One shoveler was attacked tree times but the little bushy tailed rat and a number of other reports have been filed. What do you have to say about this crap, PETA? That's what I though.
