dracula year zero

It looks like "Bates Motel" will continue to take reservations now that the show has been picked up for a second season by the folks at A&E. Season 2 won't hit the small tube until sometime in 2014 so enjoy what's left of season 1 while you can. This might be the most competent news item I've ever written.

Sad news indeed folks.Richard Brooker, best know for playing the role of Jason Voorhees in "Friday the 13th Part 3", passed away on Tuesday at the age of 58. Brooker was the first Jason to don the classic hockey mask and appeared in a number of documentaries over the years chronicling his time as the masked one.

So apparently if you sat through the end credits of the "Evil Dead" remake, which I didn't, you got to see some cool crap that I wont spoil here. But apparently there was plans for some even cooler crap to happen, which I will 100% try not to spoil right now. So I'm not saying someone survives all the demon happenings. But if someone did that someone might have gotten picked up by some folks driving down the road she was wondering down. She or he might have then passed out in the back seat and then possibly woken up as a deadite. That is if someone did make it through the night. I can neither deny nor confirm.

"Dracula Year Zero" is still apparently a movie. I know I'm just as surprised as you are. The latest on the film is that it's title is now simply "Dracula" and Luke Evans has been confirmed to play the lead in the film about the first vampire. Not going to lie, I feel like at this point in time if you name your film "Dracula" you're just asking to be lost in some sort of long IMDB search. You've kind of given up. Just name it "Vampire Movie" and get it over with.

Just to confirm a discussion we never had, Ridley Scott has been confirmed to be taking the directing role for "The Counselor". Written by Cormac McCarthy, the film follows a respected lawyer who tries his hand at the drug game... with sexy results. Wait no, terrible, not sexy. Not sexy at all.

If you're looking for more "The Evil Dead" casting news then this is going to be the best Monday of your life. Looks like Lou Taylor Pucci, who I don't know but only hate 1/3 of his name, is in talks to join the reboot. Lou would play a young smarty pants who's curiosity gets the gang into trouble. Whatever the hell that means. Pucci is the part of the name I hate in case you're wondering.

Looks like Universal is circling first time director Gary Shore to take on their new film "Dracula Year Zero". Russell Crowe is in talks to star in the film that tells the original story of Vlad the Impaler and how he eventually was turned into the character that Bram Stoker based is classic character on. Not really fair to pick a first time director. How am I suppose to make stupid comments about a guy I don't know? I bet he wears stupid hats.

Remember 2009's "Legion" about an Angel who comes down from the heavens to save the world? Well Syfy is working on a show based on the film. Cause ya know, everyone loved it. Alright I loved it. I can't even be sarcastic about how much I love it. An old lady swears a lot. How can you not love that?

According to a leaked memo from the good people at Paramount it sounds like a big screen adaption of Max Brooks' novel "World War Z" is even closer to finding its way to theaters. The memo also included a funny video of a monkey peeing in its mouth and a smoking baby. It was a hoot!

Even more pictures of the upcoming AMC zombie miniseries "The Walking Dead" have found their way online. Next week the last set of images will be released and we'll post an animated gif of the entire series. Stay tuned!

"Dracula: Year Zero" is confirmed to move forward and the entire cast will be heading down under to start filming shortly. The flick will school us all on the true origins on everyone's favorite blood sucker. I've already learned he was born the same year as Jesus!

Seth Rogen will reportedly play the role of head ghost in the new Dreamworks animated feature "Boo U". There's not much in the way of details yet on the project but my guess is he'll be lovable and doofy but still win the girl and I'll want to punch him in the face.

Comic book fans have been a twitter over the announcement of Frank Darabont directing a series for AMC entitled "The Walking Dead". Ready to be a little more excited? Coming Attractions has gotten their hands on an early copy of the script and it's looking pretty good so far!

Sam Worthington continues to try and take over Hollywood as he signs on to the upcoming Alex Proyas project "Dracula: Year Zero".

"Supernatural" fans are about to get their fix as the new web series spinoff "Ghostfacers" prepares for launch.

In a move deemed "smart" by absolutely no one, Lions Gate has exercised an option in Kevin Gruetert's contract forcing him to direct "Saw VII: 3D", the followup to his film "Saw VI". It was announced last week that he would be helming "Paranormal Activity 2", which apparently didn't sit well with LG, so they're officially going home and taking their toys with them.
