Details on the plot of Rob Zombie's upcoming "The Lords of Salem" have finally been revealed and much to my surprise they have nothing to do with Salem Massachusetts. I kid! The plot revolves around a local DJ who unleashes an unholy curse on the town of Salem that a group of witches cast over 300 years ago. I bet this ruins their tourism also.
Stephen King and John Mellencamp have apparently had a musical in the works since 2006 titled "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County" and good news kids, it'll hit Atlanta in just under a year. The play focuses on the rumors around the murder of 3 people in a small town in Mississippi and I know I said it before but I'm not sure you understand, Stephen King and John Mellencamp created this. Let that sink in.
According to a recent post on the official facebook page for "Trick 'r Treat", "Sam will return" which would lead the world to believe that the anthology series will see a sequel in the near future. Either that or they know something about a "Cheers" reunion. Either way I'm excited.
A new TV spot for JJ Abrams' "Super 8" has found it's way online and honestly I still have no idea what the movie is about but I think it's somewhere in between "Maximum Overdrive" and "E.T.". Of course I watched the video with the volume down and really only paid attention for a few seconds. "Bert the Conqueror" was on last night! If you want to know how that was I could give you a detailed run down.
Danny Boyle is supposedly being courted to direct a new werewolf flick set int LA called "Sharp Teeth". I assume this is because werewolves have teeth that are sharp and they will present them in a menacing fashion in the movie. That's the best I got folks, the Superbowl was last night, it's a slow day.
The producers who brought you "Twilight" have already picked up a new book trilogy called "Legend". The series will follow a young bugger called Day and his happenings as the country's most wanted criminal. It will also be a series of really awful films. Get excited.
All the world is giddy over the trailer for Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams's "Super 8" that showed last night at the Super Bowl despite that fact that I have no idea what the hell is going on in it. I think there might be aliens who hate trains or cameras or I have no freakin clue. I can't wait for this one.
A new poster and synopsis for Paul Schrader's "The Jesuit" is now online and I have to admit I was way more excited about this one when I thought this was made by the guy who leads David Letterman's band. It does however feature Willem Dafoe, Paz Vega, Michelle Rodriguez and child kidnapping. So that's something to get excited about.

Here's a sad story about a 13 year old girl who had to call the cops after her mother went on a four day bender. This will be even sadder when I look back on it when my child is 13 and has to do the same for me. History, it's stupid.
ABC has announced that it will not be renewing "Eastwick", the small screen adaptation of "Witches of Eastwick" after its 13 episode run. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll see Rebecca Romijin-Stamos-O'Connel again soon!
