Horror Icon Mini-Marathon: CHARLES BAND

It’s hard to create a horror movie that will connect with audiences enough that the property is seen as a potential franchise starter; and even if that happens, it is unlikely that the director or writer is brought back for subsequent installments, because the producers aren’t interested in paying higher wages to the people who made them a success. So when a single writer/director/producer is in some way responsible for no less than fourteen different film series, he must be noted, regardless of the quality of all the franchises. And that producer is Charles Band.

Trailers: "Puppet Master X: Axis Rising". Nazi's, Puppets and Beethoven

I don't know about you, but it makes me feel good that we live in a world where they're still making "Puppet Master" movies.

“After foiling a plot to blow up an American arms plant, Danny Coogan and his girlfriend, Beth, quickly find that their troubles have just begun. One of Toulon’s mysterious Puppets has been kidnapped by the Nazis, and under the wicked, watchful eye of the occultist Commandant Moebius, the Puppets’ life-giving serum is synthesized to create a master race of unstoppable soldiers.”

Wow, a trailer set to Fur Elise? Shit just got real...

Puppet Master: Axis of Evil (REVIEW)

"Puppet Master: Axis of Evil" marks the tenth film to hold the Puppet Master moniker. They've spanned over twenty years and have ups and down as far as quality goes. Unfortunately, none of them with the possible exception of "Puppet Master II" have really managed to capture the style and fun of the original film, which came out all the way back in 1989.

Video: Two New Clips From "Demonic Toys: Personal Demons"

I can't imagine I'm the only one who is surprised that we're just getting a sequel to the 1992 film "Demonic Toys"? I could have sworn I've seen like 19 movies featuring that creepy jack in the box guy. But anyway check out the two new clips below of "Demonic Toys: Personal Demons" and check out the full movie when it hits theaters this Christmas. Alright I lied it isn't going to be in theaters but you can stream it on Amazon.com. That's similar, right?

Charles Band's Full Moon Horror Roadshow 2009

When I first saw something about a "Full Moon Traveling Roadshow", I read it as New Moon, and was all like, "Finally the Stephenie Meyer books have been adapted to their most appropriate medium: the traveling musical." I was picturing ham-handed community-theater level dramatics, which, while appropriate, I would avoid as I have the books and movie... all of that in the second it took me to realize it said "Full Moon" and not "New Moon".
