"Repo: The Genetic Opera" is coming to The Wings Theatre in NYC this Saturday July 10th. Between this, the heat wave and the inevitable LeBron James rejection that's coming I thank god I'm getting out of the area this weekend. I predict riots in the streets before the second chorus of whatever god awful song opens up that thing.

In preparation for tomorrows release of "Predators" Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal sat down to discuss the filming process and why someone would name their child Nimrod. That second part was cut from the interview I think. Look for it on the Blu-Ray special features though!

A trailer for the new season of the VH1 show "Scream Queens" is online and to be honest is a little disappointing. The contestants will once again compete for a role in the next "Saw" film but no James Gunn this season and from what I can tell no ridiculously over sized fakes breasts. Really I could have let the James Gunn thing go but I'm not sure if I can get past the other.

Hot news for everyone heading out to Comic-Con. The cast of "Dexter" will be doing a panel discussion as well as premiering a new trailer for season 5 which hits Showtime on September 26. There's also going to be a lot of attractive women dressed up in skimpy superhero outfits. But you're probably more excited about the "Dexter" thing. Nerds.

Sometimes you just have to stand up for what you believe in. Like this guy out in Georgia who held his mother hostage because she refused to iron his cloths. Good for you buddy, don't back down.

A truck in Rome carrying 2.5 million euros overturned on the highway recently and motorists scooped up the prize. Sounds impressive until you realize 2.5 million euros equals roughly 13 U.S. dollars.

Due to the "shadowcast" phenomenon (think Rocky horror but with Goth kids), "Repo: The Genetic Opera" director Darren Lynn bousman has launched a website to keep the mythos going. He says this is a "life long project" for him, which I hope means they'll eventually do another version of the film, only this time not so terrible.

The release of "Zombieland" has been bumped up a week. You can now check out the Woody Harrelson zombie film on October 2nd.

"28 Weeks Later" director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is in talks to direct "Bioshock", the adaptation of the wildly popular videogame.

Todd Mcfarlane has officially started writing a new "Spawn" film. He says that it will be a standalone story, and he's shooting for an "R" rating.

The following is a "Rumble Trailer" for "The Final Destination" over at Break.com. Warning: the video does autoplay when you go there so watch those speakers at work. It's kind of a nifty little marketing thing though, so I recommend checking it out.

I'm not even sure where to start with this story. A man from Iowa was arrested recently after repeating a joke from a "Seinfeld" episode. Great series, of course, but not so much topical. The kicker? he's not the first Iowan to be fired for an old "Seinfeld" joke. What, is it like 1995 there?

Hey, you remember “Repo! The Genetic Opera”? Well, Sean Lacefield, a guitar player who had more than his share of responsibility for the soundtrack, is now working with Los Angeles goth metal band “Ellsbeth.” They self-released their album “Well-Dressed Killing Machine” digitally, in preparation for a summer long tour beginning right about now.
