Trailer: "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" Produced By Sam Raimi
If you got to the movie theater 40 minutes early for "Daybreakers" this past weekend you probably caught a clip of the new Starz series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand". You may have also noticed one Mr. Sam Raimi's named tossed in the long list of producer credits in the preview for the show.
While I've never actually watched a series on Starz this one has my interested peaked. Yes it looks to be a pretty blatant rip off of the Russell Crow film "Gladiator" with a touch of HBO's "Rome" tossed in for good measure, but most of us geeks will give anything with Rami's name attached to it a chance. Admit it you watched "For Love of the Game".
"Spartacus: Blood and Sand" premiers on Starz on the 22nd of January. Don't have Starz? Well thanks to their affiliation with Netflix the show will also be available for streaming on the same day.
