5 Questions With See No Evil 2's Lee Majdoub

Lee Majdoub can be seen next in the WWE Studios & Lionsgate film “See No Evil 2”, directed by the "Soska Sisters" of American Mary fame.  See No Evil 2 premieres at Screamfest in Los Angeles, October 15th. In the film, he co-stars as Carter, who is one of seven characters tormented by Jacob Goodnight (played by WWE superstar KANE).

We threw 5 questions at Lee recently, and here's what he had to say.

So how did you get involved with See No Evil 2?

I actually auditioned for it. I met Jen & Sylvia Soska in my first audition, and immediately knew I wanted to be a part of the film. I had a second audition, and then booked the role of Carter.

How was it getting to work with the Soska sisters?

The twins are wonderful! They brought passion, love, fun, and a ton of hard work ethic to set. I don’t think I’ve seen many people work as hard as Jen and Sylvia work. The unbelievable thing is that even though they are so busy, they always find time for their fans. It’s great to see.

Tell us about your short in ABC's of Death 2.

What can I tell you? It’s nasty... bloody... nasty... hard to watch... nasty... my character definitely doesn’t enjoy his time in the segment... and Tristan Risk kills it! You can guess whether I mean literally or figuratively.

You were born in Lebanon, have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, and have lived in a whole host of countries. Seems like a pretty interesting life, how did you end up getting into acting?

Acting was something I always wanted to do really. Moving a lot helped me learn to adapt, and I had to use my imagination, because it was quite difficult making new friends. My mother is very artistic and taught me how to draw. I’ve always been artistic too. My father comes from a math and business background, so he pushed for me to study something in the sciences. I wanted to study Product Design, but it didn’t seem like that was going to happen. I thought Mechanical Engineering was going to allow me to use some of my artistry... not so much.
I was going through a rough patch in life, wasn’t doing well in school, wasn’t happy, and my sister actually pushed me to start training as an actor on the side. It ended up being one of the best things I’ve ever done.

Halloween is coming up, do you have any rituals?

Actually we do! My girlfriend and I go up to the Okanagan to visit her family a couple of days before Halloween. We always go to the pumpkin patch and then head to her grandmother’s house to carve them with other family members. On Halloween we have spaghetti dinner at her grandmother’s, and take turns answering the door and giving candy to Trick-or-Treaters. I love it.
