Everything you ever thought about "The Shining" but were afraid to say...

Room 237

As you probably know by now, the 2013 film “Room 237” is about “The Shining.” But it’s also about obsession, about people who have fallen into a rabbit hole in their minds and can’t get back out again. To them, Stanley Kubrick made more than just a horror film. Sounds interesting, right? As a big fan of “The Shining,” I was really looking forward to this analytical discussion, but unfortunately I found it a bit disappointing and tedious.

1996 was a big year in my life. First of all, I turned 10 years old. Secondly, "Mars Attacks!" came out in theaters. If you've seen "Mars Attacks!" I'm sure I don't need to tell you how unbelievably awesome this movie is. If you haven't seen it:

A) What's wrong with you, &
B) You need to see it immediately

Here's why:

Whenever I'm talking to someone who hates horror films, they inevitably ask me "what would you say is a good horror film?" Without fail, I know of one movie that anyone, regardless of how much they hate our little genre of film we hold so dear, will always agree is a great film, is Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining". Based off of one of my favorite Stephen King novels, "The Shining" is one of my absolute favorite films. And it's finally available for Instant Streaming on Netflix.
