Rejoice, Nerds! "Twin Peaks" is Returning with New Episodes on Showtime in 2016

Once the subject of mere speculation and fantasy, it's been announced that the much beloved TV series "Twin Peaks" will be returning to TV on Showtime in 2016. David Lynch and Mark Frost will still be at the helm, and it's rumored that Kyle McLaughlin will reprise his role as the lovably deadpan Dale Cooper. A few days ago, David Lynch tweeted this cryptic message to fans:

If we're being honest with ourselves, fans of the series have considered every cryptic thing Lynch has said over the past few years to be a tacit confirmation that the series was coming back. Thankfully, he only waited three days to tweet out this video, which confirms not only the return, but a (very) vague release date.

I'm going to take the fact that there are trees in this teaser as a hint that the Log Lady will in fact make her return. Seems plausible, doesn't it?
