Ghostbusters "Slimer Edition" is Gonna Cost Ya

Recent trailers for the upcoming "Ghostbusters" game have definitely planted the seeds of curiosity if not full-on fanboy excitement. As someone who (naively) paid $80 for the Spore "Galactic Edition," I wouldn't be averse to shelling out some extra dough for the special "Slimer Edition" package of the game if it looks promising enough. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that anything short of the second coming of "WWF No Mercy" for N64 would prompt me to drop $129.99 on anything game related that isn't another console entirely. The package itself sounds pretty cool, but the price, not so much.

Amazon is offering a limited edition pack that contains Ghostbusters the Video Game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Wii, packed with enough exclusive goodies to satisfy even the most rabid fan, provided they have the disposable income to afford it. The package includes an Ecto 1 key chain with lights and sound; a set of Ghostbusters Gamer Graffix console skins; four exclusive Ghostbusters Mini-Mates action figures (concept shots below); and the piece de resistance - exclusive Slimer bust designed and created by the original movie sculptor, Steve Johnson.

The sight of new Ghostbusters toys gives me a bit of a nostalgia hard on, but then again, I could go unearth those from my parent's house for free. I'm not saying this stuff ISN'T cool, I just think that they may be overestimating just how excited people are going to be over this game. To make your own judgments, check the latest trailer, based around "Rule #3" from the movies:
