The death of the body is supposed to be the last journey that the physical form goes on in a lifespan. Regardless of one’s spiritual beliefs, all religions tend to agree with the central tenet that the human body is a physical one, meant for eventual decay, and that we will all end up traveling back into the life cycle of the Earth, decomposed and returned to the soil, broken down to the key components that made us alive in the first place.

The flick recently found its way to DVD after making the festival circuit for almost a year and we've got our grubby little hands all over it. I'm just looking forward to watching something that doesn't involve corpse fucking or genital mutilation.

I Sell the Dead (REVIEW)

It’s been noted many times on this site and elsewhere that these days the best horror movies tend to be found on DVD rather than in multiplexes. While Hollywood cranks out remakes and watered-down PG-13 fare, independent and international horror movies have bloomed into a far-reaching underground scene thanks to digital technology. As consumer technology marches forward at an ever faster pace, the DVD players most of us thought were pretty neat 10 years ago already have one foot in the grave.

“I Sell The Dead” will see a limited release next Friday and in celebration IFC has released a new trailer for the film. The movie stars Dominic Monaghan, Angus Scrimm , Ron Perlman and a bunch of other people horror fans will recognize and is getting some pretty good buzz. Looks like a decent mix of horror and comedy with this one so I’ve got high hopes. You can take a look at the final trailer below and go nuts with your comments.

Right after filming on “Hellboy 2” finished, Ron Perlman headed of to the set of “I Sell The Dead”. This past weekend I got a chance to see the trailer for “I Sell The Dead” and hear writer/director Glenn McQuaid give some background on the film. According to McQuaid, Perlman spent the weeks sleeping on the floor using a sound blanket as a bed, until they needed the blanket that is. From the looks of things, Perlman’s suffering was well forth it
