I sell the dead

The death of the body is supposed to be the last journey that the physical form goes on in a lifespan.

This week we review the limited release "I Sell The Dead", the IMDB.com proclaimed "Best Horror Comedy in Years"... you can feel the disappointment.

This week the gang heads back into the basement to check out "I Sell The Dead". The flick recently found its way to DVD after making the festival circuit for almost a year and we've got our grubby little hands all over it.

For those of you patiently waiting to check out "I Sell the Dead" tomorrow you will finally get you chance when it becomes available on DVD and Blu-Ray.

It’s been noted many times on this site and elsewhere that these days the best horror movies tend to be found on DVD rather than in multiplexes. While Hollywood cranks out remakes and watered-down PG-13 fare, independent and international horror movies have bloomed into a far-reaching underground scene thanks to digital technology. As consumer technology marches forward at an ever faster pace, the DVD players most of us thought were pretty neat 10 years ago already have one foot in the grave.

“I Sell The Dead” will see a limited release next Friday and in celebration IFC has released a new trailer for the film. The movie stars Dominic Monaghan, Angus Scrimm , Ron Perlman and a bunch of other people horror fans will recognize and is getting some pretty good buzz.

Right after filming on “Hellboy 2” finished, Ron Perlman headed of to the set of “I Sell The Dead”. This past weekend I got a chance to see the trailer for “I Sell The Dead” and hear writer/director Glenn McQuaid give some background on the film.
