The CW greenlights "The Vampire Diaries", a crass attempt to cash in on the "Twilight" craze in television series form. The series comes from head writer Kevin Williamson ("Scream") and centers on a "young woman courted by two vampire brothers, one good, one evil". Sweet Jesus, it's hard to even type that without slamming your head on your desk.
Check out the first images and trailer from "The Shortcut", which is the first horror film from Adam Sandler's "Happy Madison" production company. The story centers on teens in a small town who decide to seek out the truth about a creepy old resident and the rumors that he was responsible for child abductions years earlier.
I'm going to apologize ahead of time for linking to this story, but it's a slow news day and I couldn't avoid it. Father eats son's eyes. There, I did it. Are you happy?
