"American Horror Story" Season 2 Casting Updates

Fans of "American Horror Story" can expect some familiar faces returning for season 2. Creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have recently revealed during the PaleyFest panel that 5 cast members from the original season will be returning to play all new characters next season. It comes as no surprise that Golden Globe winner Jessica Lange will be heading up season 2. Also returning? Sarah Paulson, Zachary Quinto, Lily Rabe and Evan Peters. It will be interesting to see Peters, who played antagonist Tate in season 1, get to play a whole new character. According to Murphy we know that returning actors will be playing the "opposite of what they played in season 1." While Murphy did not give any exact plot or character details of the second season, we do know that the second season will not be a ghost story. The good news? In a recent interview, Murphy was quick to nix and ideas that the second season would have to do with recent horror movie cliches that have been made popular in the young adult world. (Ahem, vampires and werewolves ala Twilight.) Although I was not a fan of the season 1 finale, I thought season 1 was pretty great otherwise, and I'm definitely excited for a whole new season, new story lines and new characters this fall.
