Watch "Cheerbleeders" For Free!

"Cheerbleeders" started out as a thesis short film for Peter Podgursky. When it was finished the reception was so good that he began to think about developing it into a feature, and so now he's making the rounds, trying to get the word out to help raise money for the full film.

The entire short is available for viewing online for the next two weeks only, so if you've got a few extra minutes today be sure to check it out while you can. I've seen it and trust me, it's a lot of fun. Definitely a cut above most things of this nature. As you can see from the official site, the short has won a ton of awards, so I can't imagine he'll have too much trouble scraping together at least a little money to get this made. If awards don't impress you, I'm thinking perhaps this might. As you can see, all bases are covered.

There is sort of a lengthy horror host segment attached to this, put on there by the site that's hosting the vid, so do with that what you will. Without any more babbling, let's do this.

Penny and Devon, a pair of high school outcasts, are best friends in their isolation in the small town of Blackfoot, Idaho. But things take a turn for the worst when Penny inadvertently turns Devon into an unspeakable evil... The Most Popular Boy in School.
