"The People Vs. George Lucas" Trailer

Although Eric caught an inordinate amount of shit about his opinions on the "Friday the 13th" comments last week, it's safe to say that it could be worse. That is to say, he could be George Lucas.

Hell hath no fury like a fanboy scorned, and hell hath not the room for the number of fanboys that Lucas has touched over the years, from the profoundly moved to the boundlessly infuriated. "The People Vs. George Lucas," a documentary film slated for release next year (tentatively), aims to reconcile both sides in what amounts to a cinematic trial:

from IMDB:

The People vs. George Lucas will use a courtroom debate approach to explore the issues of filmmaking and fanaticism around one of the industry's most famous franchises and its creator. The innovative film combines filmmaker and celebrity interviews with fan films - submitted via the film's site - to make this the world's first digitally democratic feature documentary.

Whether this is the 'world's first' anything is subject to a judgment in itself but i'll have to say that this trailer both frightens and excites me for this film. I was never a huge Star Wars fan, but as a horror fan I see a striking number of parallels between these superfans and ourselves, especially as of late with all of the F13 hullabaloo. What side are you on?

Mark is the pretty much everything of Bloody Good Horror. When he's not casting spells in Magic or Hearthstone, you'll probably find him watching wrestling, beard glistening from the essence of Chicago's myriad beers and meats.
