"The Girls Next Door" Turn To Horror
Anybody who watches E! has heard of The Girls Next Door, the reality show staring Hugh Hefner and his three galpals. Those of you who have actually watched the show, especially this last season, know of Bridgette Marquardt and Holly Madison's attempt to break into the film biz. Small segments of the last season focused on Bridgette's first attempt at becoming a film producer with The Telling.
Well, it's finally upon us. Bridgette and Holly's horror flick is coming to DVD today!
Containing three distinct stories - one featuring a murderous doll, one a has-been actress and her run in with a film crew of the undead and, finally, a hunt-and-kill frightfest.
However, the tales inspire someone at the sorority to commit their own murders...
Will it work? Who knows. However, as a watcher of a show I've come to known Marquardt as quite the fan of the horror genre. She's starred in a no budget indie called Kottentail in 2004 which was lackluster at best. She did however turn in a pretty damn good attempt at becoming the next Elvira in The Search for the Next Elvira. For that I'll give her credit, and I'll give "The Telling" a fair shake. I still won't be expecting much, but you never know, right?
"The Telling" does star genre vet Chuck Williams from such flicks as "Bubba Ho-Tep" and the upcoming "Horrorween", so there is some experience at play here.
As for Holly Madison...let's face it. She's there because her and Bridgett were sharing an old millionaire at the time. Judging from her delivery in the opening of the trailer, we're in for a bumpy ride.
