"Night of the Creeps" on DVD!

Finally, this October, after years of waiting we will be getting Fred Dekker's 1986 classic "Night of the Creeps" on DVD. It's a film that will more than likely suffer from the unnecessary hype created by its long absence in disc form, but still a fun little 80's horror romp in its own right. And hell, Tom Atkins is in it so in the least you'll find it sexy as hell.

It's hard to understand why this film has taken so long to come to DVD when stuff like "A Night To Dismember" gets Special Edition treatment, but my understanding is it was a case of the original rights holders not caring to give it the release it deserved. I guess all that has changed now. While you wait for the release, feel free to watch James Gunn's "Slither" from a few years back, which although being an awesome film, pretty much lifts its plot directly from "Creeps".

"In October Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be releasing Night of the Creeps to DVD in a directors cut special edition, it is coming out officially for the first time ever." says Felsher. "Fred Dekker is already working on it, It's going to be the director's cut with the original ending. We're going to go balls to the wall with the special features on it ... I talked to Sony today its official, we're going ahead and its coming out in October! It's officially In production...and moving forward, its coming!"
