Ju-On Game Headed to Japan (Wii)
A few days ago, a teaser site for the upcoming "Ju-On (The Grudge)" game for the Wii showed up with little fanfare. Today, Dread Central caught wind of the details c/o a Japanese speaking friend, who reported some intriguing findings:
The site says that the game will use the Wii-mote as a flashlight, and that it’s a fairly simple mechanic designed to make you experience fear. It also lists a surprisingly close release date for Japan, this summer! They flew under the radar on this one, apparently.
As far as I know, this thing is going to be released in Japan only, but I would love to see it land in the States. Experiencing ghostly happenings sounds way more fun than watching them, and the flashlight mechanic sounds like it could be really cool. Scaring the shit out of children and skittish adults is always a good time, and hopefully Nintendo realizes a good time when they see one.
