David Lynch Directs Video For Moby

David Lynch and Moby are good friends. They share an interest in transcendental meditation, weird sounds, and isolated factories. So, when Moby needed a music video he asked Lynch, who took a literal approach to the single “Shot in the Back of the Head” from Moby's new album “Wait for Me.”

The video looks like a living Chagall painting if it was rendered in “The Twilight Zone,” the woman's head in particular floats around at times sans body. The music sounds like an echo or whale call and Lynch answers the music with a child-like clarity. A black and gray cartoon depicting, well, it's David Lynch so the story is for you to decide.
