Asylum's Latest, Jeremy London FTW?

You've most likely heard of "The Asylum" and just aren't aware of it. They popped up a few years back and made their name by making shameless cash-ins on mainstream movies (knowingly, of course). Basically they get about 10$ together, some slumming C-listers, and come up with their best "porn spoof name" to capitalize on a new release. Of course it's all cleverly planned out so the film is on Blockbuster's shelves right around the time of the theatrical release in question. And presumably (?), some people are actually stupid enough to rent it. I would also venture to say that they have their own group of 'fans' aware of their ruse who love their crappy movies, but that's not why I'm writing today.

One has to think there are some copyright issues when you start having names like "Snakes on a Train", or "Death Racers". Their latest though seems especially ballsy. The film is called... yup, "Terminators". All those sly bastards did was put an "S" on the end of "Terminator" and BAM! Movie title. Not sure how Christian Bale is going to feel about this, but they take the plagiarism even further with the poster:

Hmmm... where have I seen this before?

The plot? Basically the one you just wrote in your head:

A small band of resistance fighters battle the cyborgs that have taken control of the planet.

And as if this weren't all confusing and depressing enough, I was on their home page and who should I see is starring in this gem? Jeremy London. Yup, formerly dreamy star of "Party of Five" and one of my all time favorite films, "Dazed and Confused". Oh how the once semi-mighty have fallen.

Lookin' a little paunchy there, Jas. (far right)

That's right. The once great Randall "Pink" Floyd is now set to fight the robot apocalypse on Blockbuster shelves everywhere. Now THAT's the story I want to hear.
