"Under the Dome", a new series coming to CBS that's based on the Stephen King novel about a town that finds itself enclosed in a transparent dome, has landed itself a bad guy in the form of Dean Norris. You might know Norris from his role on "Breaking Bad" or as 1st Scientist from the 1993 made for TV movie "Barbarians at the Gate". Probably from "Breaking Bad" though.

There's more horror shows coming to the boob tube than you could shake a stick at but one of the first to be announced is "Hannibal", a new series about a detective and the famous man-eater he enlists to help him track down a psychopath. Sounds pretty dandy and now NBC has confirmed an airing date of April 4th has been announced so it looks like we won't have to wait to long to get all fava beany. On a side note, don't ever shake a stick at your TV. You'll look like a crazy person.

I think I blocked out the fact that Universal is rebooting "The Mummy" franchise because I don't think Brendan Fraser is going to be in it and a Mummy film without Brendan Fraser is no Mummy movie I want to see. Now it looks like the big boys are sick of waiting for "Prometheus" writer Jon Spaihts to come up with a script so they hired Billy Ray to come up with one of his own at the same time. I guess the reasoning is one of them will come up with a script sometime soon so why not give it a go. I only hope they end up adding more writers to the pool and I get my chance. Keep your fingers crossed, Brendan.

I've never seen a single Michael Armstrong film but apparently he's the bees knees and people will be all excited to find out he's coming out of retirement to direct "Orphanage", a new film that isn't the remake of another film I haven't seen for completely different reasons. We really got to know each other today didn't we. I love you.

Lots of headlines today screaming "Watch Audience Reaction for Paranormal Activity 4!". Put that through an honesty filter and it comes out as "Paramount wants you to believe this is still an 'indie' series and we're going along with them". So, all is normal in the genre press.

Daniel Knauf, the guy behind the HBO series "Carnivale", has hopped on board NBC's upcoming "Dracula" miniseries as writer and show-runner. I have not seen any episodes of "Carnivale" and will not watch a Dracula miniseries on NBC. So, not sure what we're doing here.

First Official Stills from "Hitchcock", the biopic which hits theaters November 23rd.

A real nasty clip from "Excision", starring Annalynne McCord. The film gets a release October 16th. No sarcasm here, this is at the top of my 'must see' list.

Check out a sales teaser for "Cabin Fever: Patient Zero". So apparently they're still making those, sure it's going to be great... (sarcasm has returned)

A glimpse into the "Prometheus" film that could have been... Between this and the conversation on our podcast about it, I am never going to be able to enjoy "Prometheus" again. Are you happy now?

Len Wiseman has signed on to direct a remake of "The Mummy". Not the real one, the shitty Brendan Frasier one. I'd like to just cut to the chase and see the movie where him and Paul W.S. Anderson team up to make a movie entirely about their wives running in slow motion. Just think of the possibilities.

Winona Ryder was asked this past weekend at Fantastic Fest whether or not she was excited about the idea of possibly being in "Bettlejuice 2", and her response was to sarcastically roll her eyes and say "ya, that would be great..." See, she's in character already! Ya, this is going to go well.

Check out the alternate ending to "The Thing" remake. All this reminds me of is that "The Thing" remake was so forgettable, I couldn't even tell you what happened in the original ending. So, success?

A Vatican newspaper has slammed the Italian release of Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" because it "mishandles the delicate questions raised by... the battle eternal between good and evil in yet another attempt to steak the secret of immortality". So, for the record, the people ruled by a pedophile protector in a funny hat who believe a guy lives in the sky constantly judging you... they think "Promtheus" gets God all wrong. Noted.

I had this whole funny idea for compareing Kate Beckinsale dropping news that she probably won't do another "Underworld" movie to some of the worst disasters in history. But when I thought more about it saying this news is as devastating as well... ya know something really bad where a lot of people died is probably not so cool. I think I'm growing up.

If you've listened to a word I've said over that past few months you'd know that NBC is hard at work on their new series "Hannibal", based on the beloved man eater from "Red Dragon". If you didn't know that then I think we may need to see other people. Might I suggest Caroline Dhavernas and Aaron Abrams who have recently been added to the cast of the show as a professor and crime scene investigator. See how I made that happen? You're going to miss my musk.

Alright, I'm just going to come out and say it. For years I hated Drew Barrymore. I honestly don't even remember why at this point. But now I'm older and wiser and I don't care either way about her. Wow, it feels good to get that out there. The news here though is that Drew (I'm going to call her Drew now that we're BFF's) is in talks to direct, yes, direct, a new film titled "The End" which focuses on the more human side of the end of the world. Good for her. I couldn't be happier.

A sequel to "Prometheus" is officially in the works and planned for a 2014 or 1015 release. In related news tomorrow I'll probably get drunk.

Andy joins us to talk about "Prometheus", and we try to see how many different ways there are to say "this movie's awesome, but kinda fucked..."

Logan Marshall-Green, Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Prometheus

The nice old man from "Babe" AKA James Cromwell has joined the cast of Season 2 of "American Horror Story". He'll play a doctor who goes to battle with his boss, played by Jessica Lange. Am I the only one who just got hungry for some bacon? I can't be.

Guillermo del Toro recently look to his blog to drop the science on why "At the Mountains of Madness" probably isn't happening any time soon. Now I'm confused as hell after reading his explanation but I'll try to explain here. It seems because "Prometheus" and the Alien saga in general is so heavily influenced by HP Lovecraft the camp putting ATMOM together thinks it's not a good idea to push it forward. I don't fully get it but maybe someone else can explain it to me. Also please explain how babies get made.

I don't want to piss in your Wheaties but in a recent interview Anna Faris reveiled that she will most likly not be a part of "Scary Movie 5". I know. I'm taking this pretty hard also. If they dare make a "The House Bunny 2" without her I swear to god I'll shoot someone in the face.

"Wolf Creek" mastermind Greg McLean is taking time off from giving out handies for spare change to fund a sequel to take the directing role on a new film titled "Kill Me Three Times". The film follows a woman in an Australian surfing town who is the link between three different stories of murder, revenge and blackmail. I was just kidding about the handies thing. I'm pretty sure he's just asking people for money. I mean he might be giving handies I don't know. What I'm saying here is I can neither deny nor confirm that "Wolf Creek 2" is being funded by a prostitution ring.

I've always been a fan of the term "Heebie-Jeebies". It's just a lot of fun to say, hear, and read. Try it yourself. I'll wait. Fun, right? Trent Haaga on the other hand I could take or leave. He created the much discussed "Deadgirl" and has lined up a new film about a small town that comes under attack by a strange monster. The title is "Heebie-Jeebies". I kind of thought that was implied.

Hollywood hot dog (I don't know what that means) Ridley Scott has dropped the bomb that the version of "Prometheus" we will see and enjoy on June 8th will indeed be a director's cut and be edited from his original version. He then goes on to explain that this pretty much happens in every movie ever made and that it's not really a big deal. I'm sorry this is the worst news item I've ever posted.

Jared Harris, who plays the saucy Britt on "Mad Men" has been cast in the upcoming Hammer Horror flick "The Quiet Ones". Harris will play a professor who leads his students in a dangerous experiment trying to produce a poltergeist. Based on the title of the film I assume there are no spoken words. Should be exciting.

"Well, it's a possibility". That's what Bill Murray said in a recent interview when questioned about "Ghostbusters 3". Move along now.

Elle Fanning of "Super 8" and general Fanning fame is in talks to star opposite our lord and savior Angelina Jolie in "Maleficent". The film is being created by the good people at Disney and is said to be a live action take on the classic tale of "Sleeping Beauty". I was always envious of her. Cause ya know, sleeping is so great and she must of been really well rested.

Why in the holy living hell anyone would want a "Wolf Creek" iPhone app is beyond me but it's on its way for your apping pleasure. It''s be released early next year to coincide with the release of "Wolf Creek 2" and be filled with info on the first flick, never before seen clips and a ton of other crap that no one in their right mind would pay for.

I pray every night that the new show "666 Park Avenue" is going to be like a modern day take on "227" but there's a good chance I'm going to be disappointed. Mercedes Masohn and Robert Buckley have just been added to the cast for the show that focuses on a couple who tend to an apartment building that houses a group of people who have made deals with the devil. I don't see how a Jackée type character could work into that but let's keep hope alive.

It's a slow day and all I can think about is how angry the Hulk would be if he had to work with me. So here's some news about "Prometheus" being released in IMax. You're welcome.
