Well this sounds pretty cool. Director Kyle Kuchta is hard at work on a new documentary focusing on the horror convention circuit and the devoted fans who travel across the country to support the genre. The film is titled "Fantasum" and will continue filming in March at Monster Mania in Cherry Hill NJ. Right now the flick is set to come out in May so I assume I'll be getting a call asking if they can film me getting drunk at a hotel bar and yelling Rusted Root songs at people.

It looks like maybe Guillermo del Toro hasn't decided to put his big screen adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's "At the Mountains Of Madness" on the shelf after all. Or at least he confirmed that he wants to give the project another go with Universal, the folks who shut the project down because of rating and budget concerns. I know what you're concerned about and good news, Tom Cruise is still attached. I know! How the hell did they get him!?

Good news folks! Tom Six and star Dieter Laser have buried the hatchet and "The Human Centipede 3" is going to begin filming in May. Wait no, that's awful news.

And finally some sad news today. David R. Ellis, the director behind "Snakes On a Plane", "Shark Night" and a few other so bad they're good flicks passed away yesterday while filming his next movie down in South Africa. Ellis was 60 and working with Samuel Jackson again on a live action version of the Japanese anime film "Kite".

Sammy Shepard is a creepy bastard. It's a fact. It's on the internet, there's no arguing it. For this fact alone he is a perfect fit for Scott Cooper's new gritty 80's era crime-thriller "Out Of the Furnace". The story follows a man recently released from prison who finds his brother has been murdered. Shepard plays the killer but we don't find that out till the end. Oh, spoiler alert. I'm kidding of course. I have no idea who the killer is. Man if it is him though wouldn't that be cool? It's like I can see the future or something. Think of a number and let me know on twitter when you're ready. I'll tell you what number you're thinking of.

Strap in kids because "The Dark knight Rises" has officially been given a rating by the MPAA. It's such big news that I think we should just sit back and take a deep breath and prepare for it. Now look around the room. Is there anything you want to say to the people around you before you read this in case the news gives you a heart attack and you die right there? Go tell them. I'll wait. No maybe you might want to go to the bathroom. I heard when you die everything lets go and you don't want a giant mess ruining your corpse. Ok. Are we good? Ready? Here we go. PG-13. The rating is PG-13.

There's all kinds of problems going on with Tom Six's "The Human Centipede Three". Namely Six and the first film's star Dieter Laser having slap fights about money or some crap. Well today news has dropped that Laser is officially out of the project and will be replaced by none other Udo Kier, who kind of looks like Dieter Laser so i guess problem solved. Ya know, unless you see the film actually being made as the problem. In which case you're still SOL.

Further proof that there is no god, Mr. Tom Six himself has taken to the twitters to announce that "The Human Centipede 3" will feature no less then 500 plus people joined together. Sometimes I wish I was never born.

The words "erotic-thriller" make me really uncomfortable. Probably because the last time I saw a movie that was considered that it had Madonna pouring hot candle wax on Willem Dafoe's nipples. But "Attachment" is apparently a new one starring beaver vet Sharon Stone and today we've learned that Tom Felton has also joined the cast as the college student who has a one night stand with a married woman played by Stone. I pray for no candle wax. Or at least no Willem Dafoe.

"Piranha 3DD" has been a bit up in the air as of late but today we've learned that Dimension Films has given the boob-sploitation romp a June 1st release date. In case you've forgotten the film will be released both in theaters and VOD on the same day. Ya know, in case you can't handle seeing that kind of stuff with an audience. You sicko.

Of the 37 horror shows coming out shortly "666 Park Avenue" is the one that actually sounds kind of interesting. The show will focus on a couple that takes over running an apartment building that houses a number of residents who've sold their souls to the D-man. Matt Miller, the guy who produced "Chuck" has just signed on as executive producer of the show. I have no idea if that's a good thing or not.

John, Jon and special guest Angelo discuss Tom Six's follow-up to the American touchstone "Human Centipede."

Some behind the scenes photos from the set of "Piranha 3DD" have popped up online and they're full of giant fishy goodness. Giant fish and other... giant things. Ya know... the giant of giant things you expect to see in "Piranha 3DD".. Boobs. I'm talking about boobs.
And here it is folks, the first trailer for Tom Six's "The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence)". The sequel to the little gross out horror movie that could. There's not much in the way of footage and I'm not even sure if this is that actual movie but that doesn't make it any less exciting. The fact that it kind of looks like crap, that makes it less exciting. That and only that.
I had completely forgotten that Anne Hathaway was playing Selena Kyle (aka Catwoman) in "The Dark knight Rises" but here's a gaggle of new set photos and looky loo there she is. Unless someone made a mistake and these are shots from "The Princes Diaries 3". And if that is the case it looks like things take a serious turn for the worse for our Princess. Attacked by homeless people kind of worse. I like the new direction.
Lars Von Trier may or may not be a giant racist but that doesn't make his new movie "Melancholia" look any less awesome. Not even Kirsten Dunst's toothy smile can take away from the visual goodness that is the new trailer for the flick. For those of you not up to speed that movie focuses on a couple celebrating their marriage while another planet heads toward earth. Meaning the world's going to end and Mr. Right isn't going to even get a wedding night with Snaggly Tooth. The lord works in mysterious ways.

If you liked "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" then get ready because it looks like the writers have a trilogy in mind. Or have always had in mind. How quickly they decided this after the film made a boat load of money no one knows but let's pretend it was always the plan. That makes it nicer.

It looks like the long awaited sequel to "The Wicker Man", the original not the Nic Cage masterpiece, titled "The Wicker Tree" will hit theaters in early 1012 thanks for the good people at Anchor Bay. The sequel tells the story of two newcomers who come to Scotland only to run into a strange group of religious fanatics. I hope they wear weird animal head dresses again.

Showtime is pushing the "Dexter" promos so much you'd almost think season 6 isn't still a month and a half away. But anyway there's a new poster for your peepers to view and it's crafty because it's got Dexter with a bunch of blood behind him. But wait, the blood looks like wings. You just mind f'ed me lonely designer who spent hours on this and 74 other posters only to have some jackass on a horror website mock it. I'm so sorry.

Good news America. It looks like Tom Six will be setting "The Human Centipede 3" in the good old U.S. of A. Wait, it gets better. According to Six the third installment will make the second look like a "Disney film". I love Disney films so I can't wait for the second, which will see a limited release in the states on October 7th. Disney films and America? I believe you have warmed your way into my heart Mr. Six.

Not content to rest on his laurels, Tom Six has already begun filming "Human Centipede: Full Sequence". Per Six, they plan to finish filming by December and have the film in the Sundance Film Festival by January.

Neil Marshall is going to take you out to eat for his next film "Underground" as he explores the world of cannibalism and exclusive supper clubs. With Marshall's track record, I'll just go ahead and assume this flick will be alright.

John Cusack's going to play a troubled writer! Glad to see he's trying something new, right? This time around, it's not just any old troubled writer; Cusack's been cast as Edgar Allen Poe in an upcoming biopic. Don't worry film makers, we can just forget about genre veteran Jefferey Coombs who's been playing Poe on stage for the last two years to critical accolades.

James Cameron thinks that movies like "Piranha 3D" cheapen the 3D medium he worked so hard to breath new life into. I'd like to remind Mr. Cameron that he's the reason every damn movie coming out lately is trying to shoehorn 3D into it's tag lines. That, and I guess he forgot directing the original 3D "Piranha" film?
