saw vi

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the internet is the greatest thing to ever happen to anyone that's ever lived. Need proof? Below you can view an extra scene from the end credits of "Saw VI" that will be included on the Unrated Blu-Ray and DVD release next week. Oh Shawnee Smith you monotone little minx you. Hurry up and view it now though before the internet police break down our doors and rip it off the net. I think that's how that stuff works.

Coming straight from The King's mouth, Bruce Campbell has let his spies know that his next feature will be "Bruce Vs. Frankenstein", a sequel to his feature "My Name is Bruce".

"Saw VI" helmer Kevin Gruetert has been signed to direct "Paranormal Activity 2". Oddly enough, "Paranormal Activity" is the film that unseated Gruetert's "Saw VI" as the King of Halloween this year... and the two franchisees are slated to be in direct competition again this year.

Remember your mall hair days when Tiffany was cool? Despite the fact that you're trying to forget the 80's, the pop singer is slated to star in "Megapiranha" which is certain to jump start her comeback.

Director Joe Johnston lets slip some tiny details about his upcoming "The Wolfman" remake; mainly that the scary howls you'll be hearing emanate from Benico Del Toro are in fact voiced by rockers Gene Simmons and David Lee Roth.

It's Halloween, so that must mean "Saw" time. Let's see how many more of these Schnaars can take.

"Paranormal Activity" continues to flex its muscles as it soundly beats "Saw VI" in it's fifth week. Whether that speaks to the amazingness of "PA" or the mediocrity of "Saw"...well you'll have to listen to this week's podcast to find out!

If Milla Jovovich's new thriller "The Fourth Kind" has caught your eye, the studio has relased a new featurette called "Abduction" that helps ramp up the chills.

There's a new Nic Cage thriller on the market and here's the trailer for "Season of the Witch". I don't know if the plot is scary or not, but Cage's hair is positively frightening.

Kevin Smith gives an update on his pending foray into horror with "Red State. Currently, they're stuck for investors and still need a cast.

Have you ever wanted to see Neve Campbell's moist, lip-quivering histrionics in the THIRD-DIMENSION? No? Well, sorry, but according to a Bloody Disgusting “exclusive”, Scream 4 will be shot in 3-D. Speaking of 3-D, Roger Ebert just wrote a great piece about how if you like 3-D you are an idiot. This Scream news really brings his point home.

Steve Niles confirms that 30 Days of Night: Dark Days is currently in production and starring such acting luminaries as...well, all that matters is that Diora Baird is headlining. I don't have to be a vampire to know what of hers I'd like to suck! (To clarify, it would be her breasts. Possibly her vagina, depending on her bathing habits.)

Rob Zombie, perhaps the greatest (horror) director of all-time, announced on his Myspace that his soon-to-be-classic Halloween 2 will be returning to theaters next weekend, just in time for the holiday. That's great news but, really Rob, Myspace? It's hard for me to defend you when you're still using an archaic social networking device as your primary news delivery system. Can we get a Facebook, or a Blogspot or something? I'd be willing to do it for you...

Joss Whedon's "Cabin in the Woods" gets bumped ALL the way to January 2010, and in the meantime will be "converted" into 3D. An interesting move considering we don't even fully know what the film's about yet. Thoughts?
