Horror Headlines: Wednesday October 17th, 2012

Hi gang, Casey here! Joe's feeling under the weather today (Read: Not hungover!) so I'm stepping in to pick up the slack! Although I really should be careful about giving Joe a hard time in these news updates because he now lives closer to me and he knows where I sleep.

This news isn't horror specific, but it is horrific in and of itself. We all remember our favorite halloween movie "Ernest Scared Stupid", right? Instead of letting the character lay to rest, Hollywood is resurrecting the franchise with "Son of Ernest" .

Stephen R. Monroe is officially set to return for "I Spit on Your Grave 2". Which begs the question... who's vowed revenge on all of us by releasing another one of these flicks?

As horror fans, we're all drawn to things such as collecting VHS, old school posters and 80's box art. Thanks to The Dude Designs, you can now combine all three of these passions with this awesome retro poster! The poster is a celebration of everybody's favorite horror era and is for a great cause. On Friday October 19th, you can snag this limited edition beauty while helping out the Keep A Breast charity!

In Real People News:

A Jacksonville Florida man was charged for beating his life partner in the face with a dinner plate. When the reason for the violent outburst was revealed, his partner refused to listen to anything but Alanis Morissette on repeat all day, it suddenly became harder for authorities to figure out who was to blame.
