Horror Headlines 5/1/08

Remember the survival horror series from the original Playstation called "Clock Tower"? Me neither, but Senator Entertainment does and they're making it into a movie. The film will be directed by Martin Weisz ("Hills Have Eyes 2"), and will center on "a girl who finds herself committed to an insane asylum and haunted by a horror she does not understand."

You may recall that Danielle Harris, Ellie Cornell and Heather Langenkamp are all directing parts of an anthology film titled "Prank". Well, they did the right thing with the poster art (at the link) by plastering the lovely ladies all over it. Still no trailer or info on when it will be released, but right now it's all about Danielle Harris' cleave... so, enjoy.

Wardrobe test photos from "The Last House on the Left" remake, which is still being shot in South Africa as we speak. This one is being produced by Wes Craven himself (as his other remakes have been), so we'll have to wait and see how it turns out. I don't remember Palm trees in the first one, but hey, what are you gonna do.

Shauna McDonald (Sarah) and Natalie Mendoza (Juno) are both returning to "The Descent 2". Not to spoil the first one, but um, I'm not exactly sure how this is going to go down. I guess they're starting the second film out by throwing logic completely out the window... good sign already.

In Real People News:

If you live in South America, expect to start seeing a "Most Wanted" campaign focused on hunting down the last of the Nazi war criminals. Many of them fled to South America after the war, and considering they're all in their 90's or older, this game is going to start getting considerably easier. If you have information, there is a $485,000 reward involved.

Big conservative politician in Australia tearfully admits to sniffing a female colleague's chair shortly after she stands up. And there it is folks, the story that makes getting up in the morning totally worth it.

If you're going to attend a friend's party dressed as Jason, you may not want to walk through the streets with the mask and a chainsaw. This guy was followed by a helicopter and eventually ambushed by a group of armed police officers. Also, note the hilariously unrelated use of a picture of Eminem dressed as Jason in the article... nice touch. Because it's so hard to find a picture of Jason on the internet anyways.

1945: Joseph Göbbels and his wife Magda tell their six children they are about to receive inoculation shots, but the injections actually contain poison. The parents then exit the Fuhrerbunker, where an SS man shoots them both in the back of the head.
