Horror Headlines: Friday February 13th, 2009

Happy Friday the 13th ya cheeky bastards! I seem to remember some new movie coming out today, but I can't put my finger on the title... hmmmm....

Trailer for "Xombie", the online live-action comic series that has been running episodically for a while now. This new DVD has the entire thing collected in one place for you. The story is about a "sentient zombie amongst the living dead, trying to get a young girl home to her family after she mysteriously shows up in the middle of the wastelands."

Bill Moseley and Caroline Williams, both from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2", have joined the cast of Rob Zombie's "H2". Is there ANYONE left on earth who still enjoys films full of so many genre vets that it becomes distracting?

Promo Trailer for "The Descent 2". Still not sure what I think about them making a sequel to Niel Marshall's amazing film, but this looks better than I had expected.

Here's a hi-res shot of that pic that showed up from "Jennifer's Body" last week. Not a bad way to end the week, eh?

In Real People News:

I'm warning you that you REALLY DON'T WANT to look at this picture of what OctuMom's stomach looked like with 8 babies inside. No, seriously, your pee brain is not prepared for what you will see if you click on that link. You've been warned.

Ex-marine beheads 5 year old son, says he did it because if he didn't than his son would never have "eternal salvation". Oh, okay then. That makes total sense.

Pedestrian hit and dragged 17 miles across Brooklyn. Investigators are now "retracing the route in an attempt to find boyd parts". Yikes.

On this day in history:

1985: Japan's New Amusement Business Control and Improvement Act comes into effect. The law brings an end to Japan's innovative sex businesses (i.e., glory holes, strip bars, and public bondage), while protecting the traditional brothel industry. That's an improvement?
