DS Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

Looks like Nintendo’s balls have finally dropped and they’ve hit puberty. After years of plumber and creepy elf games they are finally putting out some games with good old fashioned violence in them. Last week Mark posted video footage of the Nintendo exclusive “Mad World” and for the first time I actually got interested in a game coming out on the Wii. Now we have “Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars” being released in a couple of weeks. This is the first time GTA has made its way onto the Nintendo DS and based on the video footage all signs point to this being a kick ass game.

In this installment you’ll play as Huang Lee. A member of the Chinese Triads who returns to Liberty City after his father is killed. One thing leads to another and the next thing you know you're gunning down a bus load of gang members. Probably the most impressive thing about the game is how Rockstar has managed to pack the full GTA experience into a DS game. In "Chinatown Wars" you'll get full-on 360 views that you’re used to on the regular consoles. This has already been done on the more powerful PSP with "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories", but Nintendo's handheld is not particularly known for its 3D capabilities.

We’re still a couple weeks away from the March 17th release date but everything leads me to believe this game is going to be top notch. It looks like I may have a reason to finally break down and get a DS. Welcome to manhood Nintendo, enjoy the pubes!

Drinking beer I enjoy for good time and make relaxation for everyone. Disney World is my land favorite time for me. Horror movies? Yes. That’s me for a nutshell.
