How do you convince a bunch of your friends to go into the middle of Maine to shoot a movie in January? I have o clue, but Dan Fogler (“Balls Of Fury”, “Fanboys”) found a way. Luckily for him his friends are also very talented and from the looks of things “Hysterical Psycho” is going to be a pretty funny movie.
What’s pretty interesting about this film is that Dan Fogler has absolutely no experience as a director. He actually picked up most of his skills while playing a young Alfred Hitchcock on the set of the film “Number 13”, which will be released next year. On top of that the majority of the cast is made up of members of his NYC based theater company Stage 13, so it should be interesting to see how the final product turned out.
From the interview you can tell Dan's got a real passion for the film and despite the conditions everyone really enjoyed working on the project. “Hysterical Psycho” recently screened at the Tribeca Film Festival and should be coming to DVD shortly.
