Hollywood loves its unnecessary remakes, so it shouldn't be too surprising that they are looking at Pascal Laugeir's "Martyrs" for the official treatment. What is surprising is that "Twilight" producer Wyck Godfrey is looking at Kristin Stewart to headline.

Breck Eisner thrilled us all with his remake of "The Crazies" and is moving on to some non-horror related fare such as "Escape From New York" and "Flash Gordon". He'll be making his way back to the horror work though as he has taken on the rights to the classic Dracula comic "Blood of the Innocent".

Joe Lynch's upcoming horror comedy "The Knights of Badassdom" just got a whole lot hotter as "Firefly" alum Summer Glau signs on to the cast.

Need some more Sam and Dean Winchester in your life? You better hope so as Warner Brothers Japan is preparing 22 episode "Supernatural: The Animation"! We spoke earlier this week about the return of Vin Diesel to the "Riddick" franchise; plot details are starting to emerge. Expect back to basics with more monsters, which is always fun.

Roger Corman is heading back to the director's chair, teaming with the Syfy Channel for two epic features; "Dinoshark" and "Sharktopus". Sound horrible? Well of course it does! But that is Corman's bread and butter.

It was announced last week that he would be helming "Paranormal Activity 2", which apparently didn't sit well with LG, so they're officially going home and taking their toys with them.

Paris Hilton to guest star on the upcoming season of "Supernatural". I would make a joke about Supernatural being lame, but I've noticed lately that its fanbase is especially rabid when it comes to these things... so I'm putting up the white flag. The show's great! Love it!

Bryan Singer to produce 2012 themed miniseries for Syfy. Wow, that's the greatest/worst sentence I've ever typed. I don't think I'll be able to resist.

News landed today that starting on September 2nd, the unreleased episodes from last summer's "Fear Itself" will be available on FearNET. There will be 5 episodes in total.

So Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" has the weirdest cast ever. Robert Deniro, Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Rodriguez... I'm pretty sure this is some kind apocalyptic sign here. Syfy should write this into their miniseries.
