Here's a gang of new shots from Anthony Hopkins' new film "The Rite" which comes out on January 28th. The film revolves around a skeptical student at an exorcism school and features the most disappointing panty raid you've ever seen.

Now sit down kids and I'll tell you about how video games used to be played on the PC and were mostly just a lot of pointing and clicking. And by far my favorite of the genre was "7th Guest" which will be landing on your iPhone and iPad in the near future. Of course I never saw a reason to have an iPad until now and I refuse to pay for one just to play a 20 year old game, but still, this is awesome news.

Joe R. Lansdale, the guy who wrote "Bubba Ho Tep" among other things, will see his heartwarming zombie story "Christmas with the Dead" made into a movie sometime next year. Yet more proof that if you wait long enough you'll never have to read another book again.

Here's a trailer for the Swedish ax murderer flick "Blood Runs Cold". Apparently the film was shot on a budget of just 5k, but honestly it looks so good you can hardly tell. Which is a bummer because I wanted nothing more in this world than to make some sarcastic comments about the Swedes. You win this round!

Inspired by true events? Anthony Hopkins? Exorcism? Movie? These are all words you can read! There also words that describe the film "The Rite" which finally has a trailer. We're off to a good start today.

Patrick Alvarez, someone I have no idea about, has been tapped to direct "Girls", a movie about a girls slumber party gone terribly wrong. Apparently this is not a porn, which might explain the terribly wrong part. Or maybe that's just for me. At the very least there better we a tickle fight.

If you didn't see Duncan Jones' "Moon" then you missed out because it was awesome and it had zero Jake Gyllenhaal's. Unfortunately his follow up "Source Code" has one Jake Gyllenhaal but you should still give it a chance. Based on the new behind the scenes photos of the pic it might have a chance, if that jackass doesn't smile with the stupid goofy face of his.

Johnny Depp on the new Tim Burton film "Dark Shadows" which is based on the cult TV show, "it's gotten f**kin' good". That is all.

Here's a new one sheet for the new found footage flick "Apollo 18". The movie is a follow up to the 1996 Academy Award winning film "Apollo 13" staring Tom Hanks. Wait, no? That's not right. Ah whatever just watch the clip.

With Christmas just around the corner it's time to celebrate the holiday season with a horror movie that shows a crazy Santa going around murdering the crap out of people. As luck would have it we have a new red band trailer for "Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale", the Finnish flick that does just that. I feel so warm.

Wait seriously they're making a "Final Destination 5"? That's not a joke. Well at least it isn't going to be in 3D right? Oh god it's going to be in 3D! You build me up with a crazy Santa and then you just cut me right back down with this crap. Well played.

Here's some new screen shots from "The Rite" staring Anthony Hopkins as a Priest who gets involved with an exorcism. When did possession become the big rage? I missed the memo. I can't wait for next Halloween when people just walk around spitting split pea soup at each other.

Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer are 100% confirmed to be the duo to bring the upcoming "Hellraiser" remake to life. If those names rings a bell you might recognize them as the pair that brought us all the "My Bloody Valentine" remake, and that was in 3D! So good news... right? Ah whatever.

Here's some new images from "Saw 3D" and they're chock full of trappy goodness. I'm also pretty sure they're full of spoiler goodness because when I see the film and I see the guy about to lose his hand and I think, "Gee I wonder if this guy is going to lose his hand" I'll remember, "Oh yeah he does, I saw it in the 75,000 images they released from the movie."

It's always sad when the last movie a famous actor makes before he dies turns out to be a pile of crap. So I was really worried when I watched the new trailer for the exorcism flick "The Rite" staring Anthony Hopkins. Then I realized that it was Dennis Hopper I was thinking of and Anthony Hopkins is still very much alive. So it doesn't really matter if the movie sucks or not. I can't tell you what a giant relief this is to me.

Jason Rothenberg, who's current writing credit is a TV movie I've never heard of, has been confirmed to write the upcoming "Twilight Zone" movie. I have nothing good or bad to say about this because I have no idea who he is. But you check back in a few months and I'll think of something, just you wait.

Does this Universal remake hit the spot?
