In the spirit of the recent film offered up by the BGHorror podcast "Poultrygeist", I thought I would share some thoughts on the uncontested jewel of the Troma universe, Debbie Rochon. While Debbie is probably best know for the work she has done with the Troma camp, she will also be familiar to fans of Fangoria radio, and those who have attended the tri-annual+ Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors conventions. Debbie is everywhere.

"I never saw it coming!", is such a bullshit statement. As a true cynic I can tell you, it's always fucking coming. So if you didn't know before, now you know.

First the good news:
"Friday the 13th" came out in full force today with the release of four DVDs I have been eagerly awaiting. The closest Best Buy had them in stock, I had a gift card from Xmas that covered the tab, and man-o-man did I need the fucking boost!

Next-first, the bad news:
Today was a real peach of a day. I rather like peaches though, so that is not a good description.

You wanna know a sure-fire way to kill a zombie? Stop watching the films.

I remain unaware of the fact that I am insane, and I am certain that helps take the edge off.

It is cold as shit in Omaha right now. Exactly the time of year when certain people among us begin to wonder why the fuck we are here. Me, I am here because my DVD player is here, and my wife and son are here, and my copies of the "Return of the Living Dead" DVDs are here. Omaha, is also where I keep my 'waiting to be treasured' set of "Friday the 13th" films are which is not nearly as important as my wife and son, but are still serious business.

I'll get to the zombie fest in a minute.

So now that college football has come to an end, in this house we are in desperate need of a little pick-me-up and I have just the thing:

'No amount of time is ever enough so the length is irrelevant. Quality is the key.'

There is some really mysterious crap going on and I don't know what to do. Weird shit. I mean 112 Ocean Avenue weird shit:

I have never been guilty of being the brightest bulb on the strand. In fact some might say I am one or two pork chops shy of a mixed grill.

In response to our illustrious leader's call for our personal top & bottom 5 of the horror-ish films released in 2008, I have 'discovered' that I am a total slacker. Clearly some of this slack is the reason I am here in the first place, but of the 37 films Eric listed, I have seen a grand total of...eight. Math was never my favorite subject but I can tell that is just plain SAD!

In the immortal words of John Oliver, “There have always been motherfuckers, there will always be motherfuckers, but what we can't do is let them control our motherfuckin' lives”.

December is here and there is a LOT going on!! After some fantastic input from so many if you on the site (anti-shenanigans for sure!), combined with some of personal zombie favorites, my 'Superzombie Fest' has officially started and it is already one for the ages.

I have never really been one to toot my own horn, so now the fucking thing is clogged with great ideas.

So it's Thanksgiving Day and I know the traditional thing is to mention a few things I am thankful for. Truth be told I am NOT one of those 'glass half full' kind of people but, whether I choose to acknowledge them or not, I have far more than my fair share of things to be thankful for. The standards: loving parents, a sister who loves me, a beautiful wife who is a wonderful Mother, more good friends than I am able to maintain, reconnecting with LONG LOST FRIENDS across the globe:
