First Annual Drunken Zombie Film Festival

After a screening of “It’s My Party And I’ll Die If I Want To” and “Zombie Apocalypse” last year the good people over at Drunken Zombie decided to go balls out and put on a full film festival this year. They’re currently accepting entries from independent horror filmmakers for the “First Annual Drunken Zombie Film Festival” which will take place on November 6-8 at the Peoria Theater in Peoria, IL.

Haunted Houses Are Fun Again In "The Grave Review"

Winner for Best Picture at the 2009 Minneapolis 48 Hour Film Project “The Grave Review” shows what extent ghosts will go to in order to get a good rating on their haunted houses. The short film which I can only assume is somewhat inspired by John Cusack’s character in the movie “1408” turns out to be pretty funny and plays off of some of the same criticisms we’ve had of movies like “The Unborn” and “The Haunting In Connecticut”

Red Band Trailer For "The Collector"

From Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the same guys that are responsible for the “Feast” trilogy and “Saw IV-VI“ comes “The Collector”. Dunstan is also a first time director with this one but from the sounds of things they didn’t really think too far outside the box.

Desperate to repay his debt to his ex-wife, an ex-con plots a heist at his new employer's country home, unaware that a second criminal has also targeted the property, and rigged it with a series of deadly traps.

“Before The Fall” Coming To IFC On Demand

Well here’s something I never thought I’d say, “Wow, that new Antonio Banderas movie looks pretty good”. To be fair he was only the producer of “Before The Fall” but still, from the trailer below this film looks to be pretty good.

Strange Things Are Growing In The Sewer

This morning as I sat down at work with my cup of coffee in front of me the video you see below popped up before my eyes. Needless to say my entire day has been ruined. Now I’m going to first say that I’m not sure who posted this and it very well could be some sort of viral campaign for a movie or god knows what that hasn’t been announced yet. But putting all that aside what you see is a video capture from a camera set up in a sewer where some sort of “unknown life form” is living. There’s three of these little hanging blobs that look almost like hearts.

Five Minute Trailer For "Cyrus" Hits The Web

You’ve got to have a pair on you to throw out a 5 minute trailer for your independent film. But with all the sick crap going on in “Cyrus” I don’t think anyone is going to complain. With the cast alone you’re going to need five minutes to introduce all your horror fan favorities, with the likes of Danielle Harris, Lance Henriksen, Doug Jones and Tiffany Shepis all making appearances.

New “Carriers” Poster

A new poster for the little talked about film “Carriers” has hit the intertubes. The movie stars Chris Pine ("Star Trek"), Emily VanCamp, Piper Perabo and a bunch of others you’ll probably recognize as a small band of travelers who are trying to find the last safe place in America after a viral pandemic breaks out and starts killing everyone. Along the way they’re faced with the task of having to battle off those who are already infected and the moral dilemma of having to leave behind those from their group with the disease. It’s a real tear jerker.

A Ton Of New Shirts At Fright Rags

The good people over at Fright Rags have put out a whole slew of new “Vintage” horror shirts for your wearing pleasure, including some really kick ass designs from films like “Demons”, “Shocker”, “Silent Night Deadly Night” and the site favorite “Night Of The Creeps”. You can get them in all shapes, sizes and colors. Pick one up for that special lady in your life. Nothing says “I love you” like a “Slumber Party Massacre” hoodie. You can even get the designs distressed so they don’t look fresh out of the box.

“Unrated – The Movie” Will Give You Nightmares

The best way I can think to describe “Unrated – The Movie” is “Hellraiser” on crack. Co-produced by Timo Rose and Andreas Schnaas the film features a band of whacked out freaks with names like the Death Trooper, Fat Zombie, Slice Face, Ragnator, Templar, Succubus, Hellhound and The Melting Man.

A movie that has the crew conflicted.
