Trailer: "Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings"

The horror world received news that the 4th entry in the Wrong Turn series will be available on October 18th, 2011. Like parts 2 & 3, the latest offering will be a direct to DVD release as well.

Retro Posters: Killdozer!

When I was a kid, I would wander around the video store, grabbing horror movies that had the coolest VHS covers. In the 80s, that was a hit or miss method of finding a movie - sometimes you'd end up with a gem, other times you'd end up with something totally Connoisseur of Crap worthy. And even though this movie was made-for-tv in the 70s, had I seen this cover, I most certainly would have grabbed it. A killer bulldozer? How sinister! How evil! It's a shame, however, that even with an 'all-star cast", this poster is the most exciting thing about the movie.

Trailer: Zombie Women of Satan

Oh man, did your Connoisseur of Crap find a gem here! I stumbled upon it by accident, while viewing Netflix latest Instant offerings, and the tag line should tell you what you're in for:

It Really Was the Wrong Time of the Month.

If you are easily offended by misogynistic exploitation, stay the hell away from this. Far, Far away. The Story revolves around a circus show that's a front for a cult & undead experimentation, complete with performers like Zeus, the midget strongman and Pervo the Clown... and a LOT of undead female zombies.

Attack of the Killer Hamburger

Yes, your Connoisseur of Crap has found another gem!!! I don't know too much about this: it's an animated short I found over at Fearnet.com about killer hamburgers, developed by students at the animation school "Supinfocom Arles" - and I LOVE it. It starts off as innocent as any Pixar family favorite, and quickly becomes a twisted gore fest. Sure, the story about hamburgers out for human flesh is a bit bizarre, but that's how I like it, and the animation is pretty damn amazing! Check it out.

South Park to air "Human Centipede" parody

Unlike some other cartoon series that shall not be named, it amazes me that after 15 years, South Park continues to be funny & push the boundaries of good taste. But while we all know my attraction for crude humor, you're probably wondering what the HELL South Park has to do with Horror....a t least other than the Snooki episode they did - that was terrifying.

Celebrate Easter with FearNET!

It's almost the halfway mark to Halloween, and it just happens to coincide with Zombie Jesus Day...I mean, Easter! To celebrate, FearNET invited Trick 'R Treat director Michael Dougherty to bring his special talents, and wish the FearNET viewers a happy Easter Holiday. And as a added treat, everyone's favorite mayhem causing, bag wearing, mischief maker Sam even makes an appearance. This video hit close to home, reminding me of the wholesome holidays spent with my family.

Enjoy! This is hilarious!

Trailer: "The Dead Inside - The Musical"

Oh don't roll your eyes at me - Yes, it's a musical. And I'll remind you there have been some fantastic horror themed musicals, like Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sweeney Todd, Little Shop of Horrors, & The Sound of Music (oh wait, that was just terrifying to ME), just to name a few. So if you toss this aside as foo-foo girlie crap, you could be missing what is looking to be a very well done, dark tale of terror.

Trailer: "Night of the Little Dead"

Hi Everybody!! Your Connoisseur of Crap is back from a short hiatus - the guys locked me in the garage until I promised to only report on quality news items. Luckily for you, they failed to define "Quality"!

But this one may please even them! Sure, it's an indie film with cheese, gore and ZOMBIE MIDGETS, but it stars Penn Gillette (from Penn & Teller) and Adam Savage (from "Mythbusters"), and is directed by Frank Ippolito and Ezekiel Zabrowski. I would say that's got all the makings of awesome, don't you?

Game: "Project Zomboid"

The point of gaming is to eventually win, right? What if you couldn't win? What if, no matter what you did, what path you took, every time you fired that game up, you knew you were going to die? All roads lead to failure? Well isn't THAT the story of my god damn life?!

This is one of the twists from Indie Stone Studios in their development of Project Zomboid, an independent game set during a zombie Apocalypse. Really - there's a million zombie games out there; what could possibly make this game stand out?

Game: "Hobo with a Shotgun"

It's nothing new to see a video game released to accompany a major movie premiere. Granted, most of them suck and are nothing more than quick cash ins, but it's still not a new concept. However, you never see this on an indie level. So of course, with us being both movie enthusiasts AND gaming nerds, when we heard the director of Hobo with a Shotgun, Jason Eisener was teaming up with Mondo, the Alamo Drafthouse, Magnet Releasing and GameSalad to make a tie-in video game exclusively for Apple's App Store, we were pretty interested.
