It's time for the summer blockbusters to roll out, in all their over hyped glory. Armed with A list talent & multi million dollar budgets, You see their commercials every ten minutes, their posters pop up over your internet news, screaming their 3D glory. Ho hum.

Oh Joy. Your Connoisseur of Crap is bringing you ANOTHER earth invasion movie. The invaders are ruthless, fearless, hell bent on claiming Earth as their own and....

They're German Nazis?

Those wacky Germans!!!! They were so ticked off after losing WWII, they used their super secret space technology and established a colony on the moon!! Except they can't get back! Until the US re-visits the moon in 2018. With an iPad. That has the technology they need to return and TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

Although it's HIGHLY unfair that the game has been available for almost a week on Playstation Network & Steam, today (4/27/12) is the release of the first episode of the Walking Dead game onto Xbox Live.

The first episode seems to be impressing a lot of people; the overall buzz on the internet is positive, and the game is earning high ratings & Editor Choice awards from sites such as IGN, OXBM, Polygon, & Gaming Blend.

Just scary.

If you're familiar with the movie Ringu, then you know who Sadako is: The creepy girl with the long hair hanging in her face, whose jerky movements hypnotize her victims as she climbs out of the TV, shadows & nightmares. Yup, that's her. I've always had a lot of fun since she came into creation; if I hang my head just like her, my long hair does the same thing and hangs in my face. All you have to do is stand in a darkened corner of the house and wait for the fun to start!

I still say Chicago is one of the best cities in which to be a horror fan, proven once again by one of the best horror film fests being held right here in the Windy City on this weekend.

Hello there, fiends of the interwebs! Your Connoisseur of Crap has found you another gem - no, not just another gem, THE Gem of Crap. It's so good, it just may get me fired for even submitting it.

I think it's safe to say AMC's 'The Walking Dead' is a hit. Even the haters that screamed it's a zombie show with no zombies were dealt a giant serving of "Shut the fuck up" with this season's finale. Unfortunately, when something is successful, other forms of media begin sniffing around, hoping to capitalize on it, and we start to hear about The Walking Dead: The Video Game.

You know me: I'm not a big fan of remakes, reboots, re-imaginings, unneeded sequels or prequels. I tend to be unfairly critical of them, as I feel they're taking a shortcut in the originality department. That, and a good hunk of them just really, really suck.

There's some amazing indie movies out there, and it's a shame that they don't get the exposure they deserve. Even if they are lucky enough to get a theater release, it's usually located too far for the majority of the fans to go & see it. A good movie deserves to be seen in all its glory on the big screen!
