Good morning horror fans. Got a little treat for you here on a Sunday. It's the full trailer for "S. Darko", the sequel to the 2000 cult hit "Donnie Darko".

We saw a very limited teaser for it a few weeks back that showed next to nothing, but here's the full-on trailer for your viewing pleasure. I can say I'm cautiously intrigued at this point.

This stuff was brought to my attention by a recent Hollywood Saloon article, that brought together a bunch of shorts from famous directors. I pulled out these two specific ones for the horror connection, and figured it was a good end of the day post for Friday. Hope you guys enjoy.

This first one is called "The Alphabet", and was the first film David Lynch ever made, way back in 1968:

Guess Joe was pretty prophetic the other day when he said to me that the next installment of James Gunn's "PG Porn" was probably going to feature "full on insertion". Turns out one of the higher-ups at Spike (where the file's hosted), got wind of the latest installment "Squeal Happy Whores" and wasn't very happy. From James Gunn's Myspace blog:

No matter where you are when you watch this, you will become convinced that someone has slipped you some brown acid. Even sitting in your cubicle at work, you will think that the guy next to you that you hate has found a way to slip some mescaline into your coffee. I promise.

Make sure to stick around till about the 1:45 mark, to see some of the most mindblowing choreography that has ever been laid to celluloid. And hugs and kisses to whoever can explain to me what the fuck "I Eat Cannibals" is supposed to mean.

I've been staring at this all day trying to come up with something clever to say about it, and all I keep thinking about is the term "Smurf Penis". So... ya.

Hey there horror fans. Got some news here on the Horror Hound Weekend front. HHW is the convention at the end of March in Indianapolis that a whole bunch of the BGH crew will be attending. News came down today that there's another amazing guest added to the attendee list... Adrienne Barbeau!

Japan... land of mass teen suicides, tentacle sex, Kobe beef... basically all the things I want for myself, but wouldn't dare dream of trying to actually attain.

Now you can add to the list of things Japan has, "films that look vaguely like Shaun of the Dead". This one's a horror/comedy called "Tokyo Zombie", and is coming to you in April via those horror mongers over at Anchor Bay. Here's the synopsis:

I really wish we had found this before the listing was closed, but Mark sent it to me last night and I couldn't think of anyone who would enjoy it more than you sick bastards.

The name of the listing on Ebay was "EXPERIENCE YOUR FEAR OF CLOWNS !!!!!!!@"

Confounding punctuation aside, I figured this was too good to be true so I kept reading. I was already thinking of calling the police after looking at that picture to the left... then I read on and decided the person who won is probably already dead anyway so, no big whoop. Here's the actual listing:

South By Southwest (or SXSW if you're a cool kid) is a yearly "music, film and interactive festival" held in Austin, Texas.

You've most likely heard of "The Asylum" and just aren't aware of it. They popped up a few years back and made their name by making shameless cash-ins on mainstream movies (knowingly, of course). Basically they get about 10$ together, some slumming C-listers, and come up with their best "porn spoof name" to capitalize on a new release. Of course it's all cleverly planned out so the film is on Blockbuster's shelves right around the time of the theatrical release in question. And presumably (?), some people are actually stupid enough to rent it.
