Killzone 2 Reviews Are In

The original "Killzone" is probably my all time favorite videogame. In the First Person Shooter, you play any one in a group of resistance fighters taking on invaders from "Helghast", Nazi-like mutants who when unmasked remind one an awful lot of Darth Vader at the end of "Return of the Jedi".

"Blood, Boobs and Beasts" Doc Looks Great

Just released on DVD this week, the documentary "Blood, Boobs and Beasts" looks to be right up our alley.

It's not exactly what you think though. This feature length documentary follows Don Dohler, a B-Movie director since the early 1980's. The doc focuses in on his career as of late, and his disillusionment with the low budget formula, namely "blood, boobs and beasts".

"Slaughter High" Disc Hits This April

I'm sure this news has been out for a while now, but I'm just finding it so I thought it would be a great time to remind you guys.

"Pig People" Trailer. That Happened.

If you want a horror fan to commit suicide, all you have to do is present him with the following formula:

Master P + His son Lil' Romeo + Horror Film = "Pig People".

In fact, when I reported on this the other day I nearly decided to quit this game altogether. Eventually I realized that might be a bit harsh though, so I figured I'd reserve judgment until I saw a trailer. Well, here it is:

Henriksen Talks "Near Dark" redux

You've gotta love Lance Henriksen, man. It's hard to think of someone else so willing to toil away in the direct to DVD horror world, while at the same time having some pretty serious cred with fans as a cult favorite. Dread Central recently spoke to him about a number of subjects, but the following quote caught me. I love his enthusiasm, but somehow I don't think he was the first person they called...

Watchmen Review, BTS Video

I found this cool promo video for "Watchmen" yesterday and thought you guys might enjoy it as well. It shows how they made the "Owl Ship" for the film. Maybe it's just me, but I'm shocked that anything is actually "made" for movies these days.

"Stag Knight" Trailer!

A British Horror/Comedy about a group of guys on a bachelor weekend who accidentally summon the demon-corpse of a Templar Knight?

Craven Talks Smack on "Funny Games" Helmer

Whether it's doing his thing on Twitter or just out and about doing promotion for his "Last House on the Left" remake, Wes Craven seems to be omnipresent these days.

He did an interview over at BD recently, and had some pretty pointed things to say about "Funny Games" director Michael Haneke (who did both the original and the US remake). As you can see, the man pulled no punches:

Image Comics Does Lovecraft

I'll let some of our comic experts chime in with opinions on this in the comments, but I wanted to give you guys a heads up on Image Comic's new project, which sounds pretty sweet. It will basically take prolific horror author H.P. Lovecraft (great Wiki on his life for those not familiar with him), and put him in the middle of some supernatural stories. It's called "The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft". Here's the official synopsis:

Why Rourke Should Have Won

Mickey Rourke may have been snubbed at the Oscars, but he did get his Best Actor win at the Spirit Awards the night before, and this speech proves why he should win every award ever given out for everything.

Um, I don't know what you do honey.

Possible NSFW-ness for gratuitous F Bombs on live television, disgusting facial surgery aftermath and general pimptasticness. I can't possibly imagine why this guy has trouble landing jobs in Hollywood.
