All right Cats and Kittens! I am super excited to bring you the inaugural Dollhouse post!

Before I launch into my thoughts, feelings and favorite ice cream, I want to get a little back story out of the way. Dollhouse is basically chronicling an agency that provides specially programmed individuals for a myriad of tasks. They subsequently erase their memories.

I found a link with some of the most amusing, impressive and downright awesome cosplay from this past weekends New York Comic Con.

Cosplay aka costume play aka the act of dressing up like a character you share an unnatural love for, has always fascinated me. These people are dedicated and some of what they put together is awe inspiring. Take a look. Keep your eyes peeled for THE BEST Darkwing Duck EVER!

So yeah, I knew something wasn't kosher when I saw an ad on myspace's main page. Real or fake the site aggravated me. I find it to be very inflammatory and reliant on people's stupidity. Most of the internet hinges on those things though...

Finally! Friday February 13th at 9 pm you can guarantee I will be glued to my television. You know what, you should all be glued too.

After re writes and re shoots and date changes we will finally get to feast our eyes on Joss Whedon's latest project, 'Dollhouse'. FOX has already begun teasing the promo in between 'Hell's Kitchen' and 'American Idol' (wow I hate FOX). Before we know it that fateful Friday will be upon us. Friday isn't really a great time slot either... So, what should we expect?

So Takashi Miike is going to be at NYCC in February. Like any good little genre fan, this interested me a great deal. But then comes the question, what is he promoting?

Well, a live action adaptation of an anime of course! Color me intrigued... "Yatterman" is premiering at New York Comic Con, and I want to see it!

So, Mark sent me to this site to view these. WOW, Mark knows me so well!

First off, that whole website is awesome and has kept me distracted all morning. But look at those knitted masterpieces! Through the magic of google I have found numerous pictures of the infamous toys, but it's not entirely clear where they originate from. Perhaps a German artist? Well, that's the closest thing I could find to a realistic answer.

I happened to mention to a few people at work this evening that I planned on seeing "My Bloody Valentine 3D" opening weekend. They were shocked. Truly. Like, mouths agape, starring at me blankly. Shocked. Naturally, this made me pause and ponder. Why am I going to see this?

5. I have never seen a 3D film. Nope. Never. I have never experienced 3D in my ever lengthening time on this earth.

4. Tom Atkins! He could be the only reason at all really. I <3 Tom.

I read Neil Gaiman's book Coraline when I was in my very early twenties. It's a rather thin book with large text; quite obviously for children. That being said, it scared the crap out of me.

I had heard rumblings of a film version. How exciting! The imagery presented in the book could very easily lend itself to film. Why then, does this trailer give me an overwhelming sense of "meh"?

Lists abound lately! And I feel... left out. I didn't see a chunk of new releases in '08. The horror options just didn't interest me. At 12 bucks a pop, I can't go willy-nilly into just any flick at the local cinema. Plus, I'm a super snob that isn't into watching subpar American dreg with urban teens. I mean... never mind.

So here is my somewhat comprehensive list of the best films I viewed (for the first time) in '08.
