Horror Books: "Depraved" by Bryan Smith

This past weekend I sent my latest short story off for submission, so I felt it was time to take a day or two off from writing! As I’m often wont to do in such times, I turned to the book shelf and picked up something to read. After all, what better way to develop your craft than to see how other authors do it? This week, the book that grabbed my attention was “Depraved” by Bryan Smith.

Day By Day Armageddon

The recent festive holidays left me with a shiny new Kindle eReader in my hand. Like any good minded tech nerd, I had to break it in! Since I have a healthy dose of horror nerd in me, I figured a zombie apocalypse book would be a good fit. Considering the fact that my good friend 'P' has been on me for a good year or more to give "Day By Day Armageddon" a shot, I figured what the hell and dove in. One day later, I'd say it was a good experience!

Dark: A Horror Anthology

Are you a reader? Have I got a deal for you. Above you will see the promo for a new short story anthology simply called; Dark: A Horror Anthology.

Mega Piranha Trailer

Maybe it's just me, but "Mega Piranha" looks Mega Amazing! Actually, I'm pretty sure it's just me. Regardless, you have Tiffany and Barry Williams, acting together at last! What more could you want? I can tell you. Giant fish eating helicopters.

In case you couldn't tell by the amazing quality showcased above, "Mega Piranha" is an original Asylum joint and debuted on Syfy Channel this past Saturday. I'm truly sad I missed it. Well, sad's a strong word.

Comics: Victorian Undead

Have you found yourself lately, sitting about in your smoking jacket and ascot thinking "by jove, I wish there was more of a plethora of zombies in my sequentially drawn art stories"? Probably not. But just in case you have, you're in luck with Wildstorm comics newest series, "Victorian Undead"!

Retro Trailer: The Thing (1982)

Winter weather has hit the United States this week reminding us all that it is in fact, December! Sure, many folks will look at the layers of snow and cold weather and think warm happy thoughts of a white Christmas and all that jazz. When I stepped out side this morning to the balmy 7 degree wind chill, the only thoughts that entered my frozen brain was that I needed Kurt Russell to save me from alien creatures from beyond the stars. So of course, John Carpenters "The Thing" seems like an appropriate retro trailer to kick off the frigid weekend!
