Books: Old Man's War - John Scalzi

Ah, hard sci-fi. As a long time purveyor, I've read a lot of it. This addiction started way back in the day when I stumbled upon a book called 'The Moon is a Harsh Mistress' by Robert Heinlein.

From that point on, you could say it was an addiction.

I poured every Heinline book I could find. Sure, it wasn't Hemingway, but by good it was all a good fun filled story, some of it even scary, some of it making the blood begin to boil towards revolution.

TV: Torchwood: From Out of the Rain

Episode 10 of this so far stellar second season of Torchwood lands, marking perhaps a uncharacteristic down turn of talent. For this season anyways.

Comics: The end of something good.

The end has arrived. Brian K . Vaughn's 'Y the Last Man' marks the end of an epic story arc.

For those of you not in the know, 'Y The Last Man' is something you should be reading. After all, there's a movie in the works.

A Bit behind the times...

When it comes to video games, I'm normally a day late and a dollar short. I have a hard time paying a full $40-$60 for a new game. I just lack the attention span to justify that much money when I know I'm going to play it heavy for a couple days, then forget about it. (See: Super Mario Galaxy)
