"Jackboots for Jesus"

You see folks, this whole 'horror movie blogger' thing started as a lead in to another dream. For years I've said "I want to be a writer.", then never did anything about it. So, I started writing about movies. While I still love writing about movies, I needed more. Thus my 'short story' career was started.

It's been in the starting phases for a long time now.

So goes the biz though. Many rejections later, I received this tasty nugget in my inbox this afternoon:

Ingrid Pitt: The Queen of Scream

Please Note: I've kept this as work safe as possible, be beware: thar be cleavage below!

Scream Queens have been around for long time, some would say as far back as Elsa Lanchester in 1935. For the modern era, these ladies normally gain their title after a slew of movies in their portfolio, both good and bad with memorable performances in all.

Comics: Hack Slash

Over the last couple of weeks we've had some new blurbs about the movie announcements of the big screen debut of Hack Slash. Seeing as I've always been a comics guy, it felt imperative to investigate. After reading the first run of Hack Slash, you can officially start to get excited for the upcoming movie.

  • Comics: Occult Crimes Taskforce

When I say 'Rosario Dawson' most of you will associate actress, mega babe, 'Clerks 2', and the like. I'd risk a guess and say that few of you would associate the name with 'comic book creator'. It's true nerds; she's nerdly.

'Occult Crimes Taskforce' is a four issue mini-series published by Image Comics in mid 2006. The story contained within tells of a special branch of the Manhattan Police Force put together to handle cases that are occult in origin, as the name suggests.
