Friday Fun: Kill the Penguin

It's Friday. It's been a long week, you're sick of your coworkers, you're sick of your work, and you're done. What better way to release the week's tension by whacking the crap out of penguin with a giant spiky bat while dressed as a Yeti?

Enter Kill The Penguin, which as you could guess, involves...whacking the crap out of a penguin with a giant spiky bat while dressed as a Yeti.

This is an oldie but a goodie that I just rediscovered again after a few years of forgetting about it. Have a good weekend!

Lost "Nightbreed" Footage is Just out of Reach

It's long been known that Clive Barker was ham stringed by his studio when helming the big screen adaptation of his story "Night Breed." Forced to cut nearly 25 minutes of footage from the final release, there has been much demand in the world of fandom for a director's cut.

Sadly, for nearly 20 years now Barker's response has been "I hope so, but we don't know where the footage is." According to the folks over at the long running Clive Barker fansite, this lost footage is no longer lost.

The Creepshow - Run for Your Life

I've been a closet punk for many years. As of late I've found myself drawn towards the 'psychobilly' or 'hellbilly' sound. I mention both but near as I can tell, they're the same thing. Regardless, with revved up rockabilly rhythm mixed in with token horror movie references, I dig it. As a long time bass player, what's not to love about the use of a coffin shaped upright bass?

New Theatrical Trailer for Shane Acker's "9"

If you've been to the movies any time in the last two months, you've most likely seen the trailer for the upcoming animated feature "9". Produced by Tim Burton and Directed by Shane Acker, the flick's got a distinct flavor all its own and looks like a nice little dark alternative to all of Pixar's happy bug-eyed onslaughts.
