Book Review: "Hammer Glamour"

I've been an outspoken fan of the Hammer Studios brand of horror for a long long time. Each and every one of their movies packed in a rather luxurious atmosphere unique to the studio with it's own brand of story telling. With leading men such as the late great Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, their charm was unmatched. Hammer films always packed a second more powerful punch however in their sense of beauty; each movie was guaranteed to feature a fresh new statuesque starlet, each more breathtaking than the last!

"Dark: A Horror Anthology"

Consider this an official announcement of sorts; yours truly is hitting the book shelves with the upcoming anthology, "Dark: A Horror Anthology".

That slick book cover you see above is drawn by none other than Steve Wands and is edited by Bryan Wolford, friend of Bloody Good Horror and to some, my long lost brother.

Lionsgate Blu-ray News

Lionsgate dropped the bomb on some big blu-ray news today and for us horror fans, it's the good kind of bomb!

"The Descent Part 2" Trailer

I think most people are in agreement that the first foray into the depths of "The Descent" resulted in a pretty kick ass and enjoyable movie. However, I don't know that anyone was particularly screaming for a sequel. Regardless, here's a trailer for it!

MST3K fans rejoice, RiffTrax is coming Live to a theater near you! Well, sort of...

Nick Simmons "Incarnate" #1

I'll admit it; I'm a fan of Gene Simmons Family Jewels. It's scripted as all get out but it's worth a laugh. As Gene's son, Nick Simmons gets a lot of airtime and as it is supposed to be a 'reality' show, Nick's efforts at becoming a published Comic author get a lot of screen time. They've bandied about the coming of "Incarnate" for quite some time so naturally, I've been pretty curious.

"Cursed Mountain" Coming to Wii

On August 25th, the Nintendo Wii will be getting another dose of grown up horror gaming with the release of Cursed Mountain.

Step back into the 1980's and into the shoes of a fearless mountaineer. Climbing the Himalayas, he's on the search for his lost brother. Along his climb he encounters many a horror as a curse has taken over the region. Facing souls trapped in limbo, ghosts, demons and nightmare visions, you get to be the one to help him tackle the journey.
