"Train" is a loose, and I mean very loose, remake of the 80's flick "Terror Train" and stars Thora Birch. Really the only similarity I see between the two films is that they both take place on a train. So in theory I could say that the 1983 Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy comedy "Trading Places" is a remake of it too. But let's move on.
The film has been hitting horror fests for about a year and will finally make it to DVD on November 17th. If you're not familiar with the plot we're pretty much looking at "Hostel" on a train, which is the last thing I needed to see. Alright the last thing I needed to see was "Hostel 2" and that girl from "Welcome to the Dollhouse" running around nude. But we're getting off topic again.
You can check out the Red Band trailer below for "Train" and get ready for some good old fashion traintastrophies (I just made that word up) on the 17th.

Terror Train
Submitted by peloquin on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 17:50.I thought the ties to that film had been abandoned? Especially as after watching it I can tell you it has absolutely nothing at all to do with the original, well apart from the Train!
Awful film though in my opinion, the description of 'Hostel on a train' really is bang on here and it doesnt have anything at all beyond what you would expect. If you like Thora Birch you might dig it, but otherwise its just another run of the mill 'torture porn' snooze.

Looks pretty bad though so yeah I don't think I'll be putting the effort in to see it. I'm a lazy bastard
Severed ties
Submitted by Prisoner Abel on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 19:06.My understanding is that they abandoned any ties to Terror Train. If I remember correctly a true remake of Terror Train is now planned as well.
"I like it when they lie still like that."
Remake?!
Submitted by Jon on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 21:22.I will be excited for a "Terror Train" remake only if Penn AND Teller are cast to fill the role originated by David Copperfield. It has to be both of them though. Can you imagine the twist? It would be glorious.
