Election Day (Not The One You're Thinking)

I talk about my band Election Day occasionally, and Eric thought I should post this on the site, so I suppose I will! I mentioned on Twitter a week or so ago that we were going to be playing with Bane, and this is the first 6 or so minutes of our set. The songs are called "Death Therapy" and "Trade Winds" respectively, and as with all bands, we're on the MySpace, so if hardcore is your bag, check it out!

Very cool, Bane is pretty classic so that's awesome you guys got a chance to play with them. Not sure where you playing but tell me it's a VFW hall or something along that lines! Almost as hardcore as the Step Down video!

Actually, way punker than that. It's a skate ramp haha. We usually play on floor level venues though so I was a little worried I was going to mistime a goofy jump and eat shit on the concrete.

I've seen a lot of them...Fear, TSOL, Social Distortion, Descendants, Black Flag, and many more all back in the day.

I dig your energy and the tunes here, but...

What's up with this softcore? I thought you and the other Newell bro had some Pesci in you. I don't care if those kooks are your bros, they need to go home bloody for getting up on stage. The old saying used to be, "If you're not diving, don't get up".

The stage is to be protected and served, no mic orgies!

Guard the stage like a hockey goalie on crack.

Haha I'm as big of a fan of 'the Flag' as anyone, but as a true fan I can't imagine emulating the pure striking power of Henry Rollins, even on my best day.

C'mon, I've seen a strung-out-heroin-addicted-half-pint-sized Mike Ness take down stage kooks. they all did it, Lee Ving, Milo, etc.

You just can't have feminine slamdancing poser kooks hopping up on stage and recreating the mutant circle jerk scene from "I Am Legend" around your mic.
