Tokyo Gore Police

When I first heard of "The Machine Girl" I was open to the idea. Revenge, severed limbs, Asian school girls, whats not to love? Then I saw the trailer and it totally turned me off. Sure I knew it would be low budget; I knew it would be over the top. The bright red crayola blood just caused my "this movie is going to be a dumb waste of time" switch to flip. So when I got the chance to see it in theaters, I declined. Apparently I was just too good for something so low brow.
Oh! How I regret it!
Enter "Tokyo Gore Police" . The trailer is odd and I may have been mildly disturbed if everything wasn't so goofy. I don't know if I'll enjoy it. But as a genre fan I owe it to myself to give it a whirl.
It's screening in NYC at the Pioneer Theater October 3rd through the 9th. You better believe I'll have a lot to say about this.

Eric mentioned this awhile ago and Ive really been looking forward to checking it out. I'll probably to have to get hold of a 'naughty' copy but cant wait for more insanity. I really dug Machine Girl just for its outright bonkersness, although looking at the trailer for this its gonna take things to a whole new level, reminds me of when I first saw the trailers for Gozu and Uzumaki, I have tyo watch it!!!

I just added Machine Girl to the top of my Netflix cue. Drunken Zombie recommended this a while ago and I've been meaning to check it out ever since.
In related news, I need the posters for both of these films. Not sure my girlfriend will be crazy about them, but hey you can't win 'em all.

I have Machine Girl on my Netflix and I might have to go see this in the theater. I read a great article in Rue Morgue about it and have been dying to see it since. I might have to go alone because I took my friend to go see Midnight Meat Train on friday and he was pretty grossed out. I don't know if he can handle this movie. Thanks for the heads up about the screenings! ^_^
