Monstrous Nature (a werewolf film)

I just posted about this film over at my magazine's blog, but I wanted to share it with everyone here as well. A very talented film maker and friend of mine, Jason Cuadrado, is putting the finishing touches on what promises to be one hell of a flick.

"Monstrous Nature" is the story of "a nun who gets kidnapped and wakes up in the deep woods handcuffed to a disturbed man. He makes his plans for her known by the light of the full moon, which tests her faith as well as her nerve."

I'm excited about this and I will most definitely keep everyone posted. Check out the links to the Fangoria piece and the Dread Central coverage for more insight and background. This is worth keeping an eye on. The makeup effects are done by Graham Schofield aka the guy who worked on "Midnight Meat Train". This ain't no fly by night operation folks ;-)

Sounds very cool

Sort of a 'Defiant ones' set-up with a monster/morality take. Keep us posted.

Sounds really interesting but

Sounds really interesting but that's a kind of terrible poster. He definitely needs someone to redo that before he does any kind of heavy PR push.

It's always cool when a filmmaker can get some kind of real talent attached to their shorts. It gives credence to an under-appreciated form of filmmaking. (I had the creator of Buddy Christ from "Dogma" do the special effects on one of my shorts, which was pretty amazing).

Please let us know when there's a trailer. Is he submitting it to festivals?

"I like it when they lie still like that."

There is a good chance the poster is a work in progress. The wheels are still turning as far as I know. And I believe the answer is yes in regards to festivals.

I will mos def keep everyone posted!
