It's "Lizard Boy"!

How this one didn’t show at the Jersey State Fair is beyond me. To me it’s a no brainer to screen something like “Lizard Boy” right next to the two headed cow tent. But anyway, the film from first time director Paul Della Pelle might just be the greatest film to ever feature a seriously CGIed lizard tail on a genetically engineered bastard son. The words “ground breaking” come to mind.

If you were a brilliant geneticist, working on a secret government genetic engineering project, and your fiancee dumped you because your sperm were not viable, what would you do to resolve your mid-life crisis? Dr. Gino Conti creates his own son by combining reptilian and human DNA, but discovers fatherhood an extraordinary challenge when his son's anger management issues include eating people.

In short, somebody on the crew had a friend at the local zoo and got access to a komodo dragon. What better reason to make a movie! The film is currently being submitted to a number of film festivals and should see a DVD release soon. In the meantime you can check out the trailer for “Lizard Boy” below.
